Just spent a few days at Fourth Cliff Recreation Area in Humarock. Sands End is pretty much the only place in town for food unless you want to drive 20 minutes to Marshfield. THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! Such a sweet little cafe, and the food is awesome. We ate dinner one night, and breakfast the next. My kids loved it, and so did I. Reasonably priced for the Cape Cod area, nice staff, great ambience. Will definitely be visiting again. We even bought t-shirts!
The food at Sands End Café has remarkable depth and presentation. In my estimation this Café provides best in class service and the food is out of this world offering something for the whole family. The shop is both clean and tidy with a classy yet comfortable feel. All the staff members there greeted my companions and I with smiles as inviting as the food they serve. I would thoroughly recommend Sands End Café to anyone who loves great food and amazing service. Not to mention the adjoining gift shop filled with great gifts and necessities. My family and friends love this beach side gem.
Great restaurant. The owner Marilyn always has a smile and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The food is amazing, I love the breakfast burrito. Must eat location if you are in the Scituate area.
The waitress was nice, but otherwise I would say we were pretty disappointed. So, my friend and I each ordered a cup of clam chowder, but oddly enough, hers came out first, then mine came out a few minutes later. It all started to make sense when I realized the edges of my chowder were hot, and the middle was cold....my microwave will do the same thing to my soup at home. Then we got our meals at separate times as well, my Asian salad was a combination of iceberg lettuce, mushy tomatoes, mandarin oranges and stale chow mein noodles. Her chicken parmesean sandwich was burnt and just not all that appealing. The fries were good though, even though they came out 15 minutes after we had already been served our meals... I realize this review sounds pretty mean, I think the café has potential, but needs serious new direction...
This is possibly the WORST place I have ever been in my whole life.... the people are belligerent, inconsiderate, and quite frankly some of the rudest I have ever encountered. My little cousin, who is 4 years old at the time, had to go to the bathroom and Sands End was the only nearby destination. So, we go into the store requesting to use a bathroom for my little cousin and we got a rude "nope" as a response because of their septic issues... AND this was all after we had ALREADY PURCHASED 5 ice creams- which may I add costed $27.50. Lets be real if your sub par ice cream costed around $5 a piece these crooks must be racking up enough money to fix their little "septic issues." And if you had forgotten, my poor 4 year-old cousin was now wetting her pants.... she'll never get those back... So in conclusion: Sands End Café is the epitome of hell on earth. P.S. The ONLY reason why I even gave this place a star rating was because I had to in order to post this review.
I came from South Carolina and stopped in for a late breakfast with my parents. I ended up ordering fried clams. They were fantastic. Very nice people and great service.
It's a cafe inexpensive food. Right next to beach. Only problem if you don't have cash for a little something and want to use card. There is a minimum purchase of 10 dollars. Not to big a deal, they also have a little gift shop connected.
Sands End closed, and the new owners have opened 'The Voyage', same location, new much more serious restaurant, Great Ice Cream and coffee.
Love taking a walk at the beach and stopping for dinner. Restaurant has a new name in 2017
Excellent food, great service, and an even better owner. A+/10, would come again.
