She is superb at helping pregnant women, and delivering babies but once you have the baby be prepared to be dismissed. She did not find it necessary to look into my change in my cycle when the ultra sound came back ok, she decided I just had to deal with the pain and dramatic change. In my opinion she's interested in obstetrics but not gynecology of the patient.
I will always love Sanfilippo. She has helped me and listened to me. I was experiencing abdominal pain for about 2 months. After seeing numerous doctors and going to the er to be told there was nothing I went to her. She thought it could be endometriosis so she put me on birth co trol and said if it didn't help she would do surgery. I ended up back at the er so she said surgery it is. Went in for my pre-op appointment and she questioned if it could be a hernia. She asked for a general surgeon to be with her incase she found something. Well it ended up being a hernia. If it wasn't for her listening to me I would still be sitting here in pain. I will always be a patient of hers!! Thank you Dr!!!
Dr Sanfilippo is absolutely amazing. I have been a patient of hers since 2002. She delivered our healthy twins one was breached in an emergency situation, and was professional the entire time. She cares for her patients, and is overall just a kind hearted woman. She is the kind of doctor that is irreplaceable, no one will ever meet her level of professionalism, kindness, straightforwardness, caring and demeanor, she is simply the best.
I have been a patient of Dr Sanfilippo for almost 16 years. She is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. She is incredibly knowledgable, a great listener and terrific communicator. I never feel rushed during my appointments. I highly recommend Dr Sanfilippo.
Dr. Sanfilippo has been my OBGYN for at least 10 years. I find her staff not only helpful, but warm, and welcoming. They’ve treated me with kindness. Dr. Sanfilippo I see more often than her PA. She listens, she explains things thoroughly, and is very competent in her field. I’ve had issues that she’s dealt with starting with the least invasive methods first. She’s gentle during exams, and I’m very comfortable with her. I highly recommend her.
Loved the care that was given to me at the office. As well as Dr. Sanfilippo and the other doctor who helped me through unplanned c section. They worked so well together and although a c section wasnt planned and it was scary. Her bed side was wonderful and she knew how to make you feel at ease. I will see her as my doctor and for future pregnancies. Thank you so much.
Dr. Sanfilippo’s is the best! All the staff is super sweet and caring and really does their best to put an individualized approach on healthcare. I have had lots of issues for a few years and never had a gynecologist that could help me. Within my first appointment I was helped and have had no issues at all since! Dr. Sanfilippo actually delivered my siblings and I when we were born and my mom also loves her and cannot say enough good things!
Let me start by saying I love the nurse practitioner here, she is so amazing and personable. But I’m the flip side there is dr sanfilippo, I feel as though any experience I have had with her has been unpleasant. She seems almost lost in a daze with all my tattoos and piercings, she actually almost asks more questions about those, than my actual health. I feel like my tattoos cause her to lose all her focus on the task at hand. This has been my first obgyn doctor and from day one has just been an absolutely awful experience, I don’t dread going here for the check up, I dread going here because the doctor.
Dr Sanfilippo has been my GYN for over 10 years. I normally end up seeing Amanda who is amazing btw. I can count on one hand the number of times that I’ve actually seen Dr Sanfilippo. I just recently had an appointment to address serious concerns as I have issues with ovarian cyst. Yes they are common but I have concerns when I’m experiencing pain that I shouldn’t. The nurse that I saw initially when I went in was rude, constantly interrupted me while I was trying to speak and then just ignored me completely. Then the doctor comes in. She proceeds to ask me why I was there and what was going on so I went on to explain. Immediately she said surgery “so I can see what’s going on”. I told her that I preferred a less invasive route. Ultrasound being step one. She hadn’t even read my chart. She asked if I had a tubal. Had she read my chart she would have seen that I did and that she was the one who did the procedure! During the time I was trying to speak to her without being interrupted she wasn’t paying attention to what I was saying. More attention was being paid to my tattoos and my ear piercings. That’s when the judgemental tone came in. I brushed it off as best as I could. I’m sure if I was wearing long sleeves and they were covered she would have spoken to me with a little more respect and not like I was some vagrant. THEN she proceeded to start offering me medication to put me into early menopause! I have never had such a painful exam. When I told her that she was hurting me her attitude was that of someone who really didn’t care. Mind you I’ve had three children, not delivered by her, so I have experienced my fair share of discomfort. Long story short her bedside manner severely lacking especially when you question what she has told you. Her body language speaks volumes. After I expressed the fact that I did not want to have surgery she said “well I don’t know what else to tell you. That’s the only thing I can do at this point”. If my chart was read then she would have had better knowledge of my situation. Once my round of testing is done I will no longer be a patient in her office.
Dr sanfillipo delivered all three of my children. I had twins and a single birth. Two C-sections. She was kind, caring, compassionate and most important, knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend her.
