As a Auburn fan, I went this year to the 2022 Auburn v. GA game. The atmosphere is as great and the game was awesome. My team did not win but other than that it was a great time.
It was a great experience. I would say this stadium is not handicap friendly, I seen alot of people struggling in the crowd that needed less stairs that day. Half the stadium was closed due to the fireworks for graduation but I felt they could have done better.
Beautiful stadium on a beautiful campus. Staff was helpful, plenty of police around, and everything was clean. It was a pleasant experience. The sound system sounds great, and everything seems to be well taken care of. Really a top notch facility, rivaling some NFL stadiums.
I’ve been coming here since I’ve been six years old. Since Greg McGarity started a fire to make Sanford stadium more user-friendly to fans. and Brooks Austin The current athletic Director at Georgia has taken that vision and approved on it.Light up Sanford is one of my favorite traditions. But you always feel it in your heart with the pregame. Traditions it really starts to hit you when you hear a Larry Munson especially since we won a national championship. But it’s a place for only real Georgia know about if you really want to see what college footballs made of or how much college football means to one state. Come to a home game here. But then again these home games are a rarity is the only happens seven times a year. There like music festivals. But from someone who lives in Atlanta it’s like making a day trip over there to Athens GA. But I know a lot of people come to Athens from farther distances like Savannah and Thomasville The distance is like Foxborough to Boston is Athens to Atlanta. I’m really hoping that he local governments state government. Or corporate enterprises working with government make a train that can go from Atlanta to Athens. I feel like that would open up things a little bit especially for me who is a big-time Georgia fan. But I use the convenience of living in Atlanta to get around but it’s a little harder for me to get outside of the bubble. But I find a way to make it work but I want it to be easier. Because I would go to Athens more often if there was a train that could take me there. The only thing I wish they would change is the concession stand prices but they usually have their concession stand workers or from different organizations around Athens like churches and baseball teams. So I like that The community gets to benefit office games. Overall great experience especially after a Dawgs WIN GoDAWGS
Would of gotten 5 stars but the experience wasn't as expected. Me and Dads first game was bittersweet. From Boston so we are Bulldogs hybrids his Dr gave him tix. When we got there there was a group of white people with their feet on the cushion seats we were supposed to sit in. They didn't move them until we said they were our seats. I let that one go. After halftime they had their feet in the seats again!!!! I said it was very rude to the racist people and soon after left with Dad. Loved the game! But I'll never be back. Shame on Athens residents for displaying despicable acts of racism!!!
We caught the Shuttle from the East Campus Deck to the stadium and that worked out well. Catching a shuttle back was a zoo, so we opted to walk. Stadium was very clean, as well as the ladies restroom attendant on hand. I would suggest renting a stadium chair if there is not already one at your seat. The bleacher seating is very, very tight if it is a full house. We only bought drinks, so I cannot comment on the food. Card only- no cash. Oh, and if you are the top of the parking deck, you may have a long wait to get out. Also, many of the roads are closed when the game is over, so we actually had to go a long ways out of the way to get back on the correct route home.
The experience was great. We had no problems and the people was nice. It was very spacious, nice, and clean. Great place to visit and see.
First time experience and it was amazing. Security & Safety were definitely on point and the fans were all pleasant and not obnoxious or ridiculously intoxicated. Made for a good family experience.
Definitely enjoyed the experience at this Sanford stadium. They offered free buses to our parking deck. It’s a long walk if you don’t take the bus- so wear comfortable shoes. Parking at East Campus Deck was $20. No cash accepted - credit card or Park mobile app. Restrooms were plenty. Concessions was available and very fairly priced- impressive! They provided a rehydrate station where we were able to refill our purchased $2 water. Chik-a-fil was a vendor there. They were high prices then regular concession stand. Stadium seats to rent for comfort $10. Aluminum benches are standard seating. Beautiful stadium! Great job Dawg staff!
Fun experience friendly crowd if you root for the Dogs!
