Decided to try Sannos for an early dinner, and we loved it! The greet you as soon as you walk in, which is always a plus. Our server, I wish I could remember her name she was blonde, but she was absolutely wonderful and sweet and checked on us often. The atmosphere is pretty dark, but clean, it could be lit up more but also very quiet, which is nice. My meal, which was scallops and shrimp with broccoli, sweet carrots with fried rice, was delicious! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also got The Dolly Roll fried, and I didn't expect it to be so big! It was so good I had to bring it home, lol. My boyfriend got teriyaki chicken with fried rice and the super crunch roll, which he loved, and I also had a bite of his roll, delicious! We really liked it here and will be back!
Had this placed saved for us to try and today was the day. My kids love hibachi and are very picky about how the chicken and steak is cooked “sauce wise” Sanno did not disappoint and we went with the express menu. Great quality for the price and not a long wait for a good meal. I would like a better veggie selection instead of the carrots “which were delicious” but over all this place is close, and perfect for the family. We will be back again!
I’m a bit biased but this is my favorite teriyaki chicken hibachi of all time. The portions, price and sauce are a perfect combo. It’s actually a steal for the price and I don’t doubt you can share the food. You also get a choice of white rice or fried rice with the order no additional charge for fried rice. It also comes with veggies and of course the delectable white sauce. It’s the first place I go to whenever I’m in town
Must of been the guys first time making sushi. It just falls apart on its own. Won't stay in a roll. They wouldn't even give me chop sticks, Wasabi, or soy sauce with my Togo order. Terrible first experience. Glad it's the last.Food: 1/5
UPDATE REVIEW!!!: still amazing as ever. Added more images below, but amazing sushi. Love their hibachi. Naomi roll please give it a go. Ask for the chili garlic sauce!! We came here and were back for more within three days! From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you enter and go to the seating it is much nicer. The lighting is darker and the music is not too loud. Consistency is key with me when I review a place this place was great and we even had different servers and cooks between the times we came. Let me say this sushi is so good. I have found a favorite roll in the few times I have been. The naomi roll, something about that spice they put on top of the tuna is so amazing. has a smoky umami flavor that I really enjoy. The rice, something that is ususally thought of last in a sushi roll around here, was seasoned so well had tangy rice wine flavor with sweetness of the rice to balance, bravo. The unagi roll we love eel was delicious sweet and briny deliciousness. We had several rolls that were all shockingly good, dancing roll, white tiger, crunch roll, naomi roll, unagi roll, arizona roll yellowtail was so fresh! had a smooth mouth coating feel to it, really wonderfully simple roll. Then we also had the hibachi. My husband was so shocked! He said he had never had steak so tender in hibachi in his life. He got medium rare two times and it was perfect. The hibachi vegetables have this intense flavor from the grill I assume that is just iconic hibachi flavor. Absolutely loved our food right down to the yum yum sauce which was balanced well, not too garlicylike I have had at other places and not too sweet which can also be a problem. Our service was top notch! We came on a Friday afternoon and a Monday evening, both times the service was outstanding. Attention waitresses who know what they are doing. Sushi chefs! ahh. well done bravo! Cooks in the back, well done! Thank you for our experiences. We will continue to come back! If you are thinking about it, just go try it!
I don’t even know why this place has 4.5 stars. We came because of the high rating. My friend and I ordered 2 sets of sushi rolls, 1 hand roll and 2 beers. Total came out around $60. First of all that’s super expensive. But I wouldn’t mind paying that if the quality and taste matched the price- it did not. It was absolutely not worth it. Maybe other times it’s good but when we went, there was a young White girl making our sushi. Not saying that a White girl can’t roll sushi but I’m just saying she made our sushi and it was bad…lol. I never leave restaurant reviews but my friend almost threw up and had to exit the restaurant abruptly because the food didn’t sit right with her. Go at your own risk. I’m over here trying to figure out why this place has such high ratings. Definitely not authentic Japanese food.
The food was great and the portions size were big which we had to take some home. Inside was a little darker that I expected it to be. Parking is tight. Worth the moneyFood: 5/5
I'm so used to spicy tuna not having much heat but when I ordered 2 rolls with spicy tuna here they hit hard in the heat department. Delicious overall but the next visit I'll only do 1 spicy tuna then something to offset it that I'm sure will be equally as good. Would recommend.Food: 5/5
I loved the sushi here, I got the Big boy and it was VERY good salmon and Tuna. My husband got chicken and rice and the chicken tasted grilled and the sweet carrots were delicious! Nice workers too. My friend recommended this place and I was so happy she did! @cruisinginourcabin
Deep Fried California Roll 10/10 Hibachi Menu 9/10 Customer Service 10/10 Every time I go in there, the waitress knows what I want and has my food ready in less than 10 minutes. Wonderful restaurant. Arguably the best restaurant in Goose Creek.
