Spoke to 3 police officers of varying rank. Only 1, who later they other 2 laughed at, inferring he's a nobody. These 2, to my face were petty, Rude, defensive, talked to me like I was a low life, contradicted each other. None of the 2 were sure about the office rules. Receptionist was nice, but also ill informed. In my opinion, they stick together. even the person at fault lied in this traffic accident & they never questioned that, even when drivers story was completely impossible in reality to conceive....they still wrote it down. I am an educated, older than all of them, distinguished white person. This was totally reverse discrimination. Double down on me to avoid feeling intimidated by me. Shame on each of you.
My neighbors house got broken into and IPD was called almost immediately upon the suspects arrival. My neighbor and I live about 3min from the Santa Ana Police Department. It’s been about 2 and 1/2 hours since. IPD was canceled later on and advised they had already broken into a few houses and she’s out from the neighborhood. Dispatcher stated “ok we will go ahead and cancel”. They Didn’t follow up with the break in that occurred nothing…. Guess we people will just have to take it upon our own hands to protect our loved ones…
Can’t leave a zero. Why would any sane person think it is acceptable to blast music over a loud speaker for 45 minutes starting around 10:15 PM? Children and parents were asleep. No thought of the residents or the rights of a journalist. The cop admits that his entire purpose was to interfere with the journalist that was not doing anything to interfere with the cops. Another disconnect between regular people and disrespecting cops.
We've been told that as long as someone doesn't pitch a tent on your private property, it's totally legal for them to be there. Even after you've asked them to leave and made it clear they're not welcome and they come back. We've been told it's okay for then to come onto our property at 10 o'clock at night, take a gardening hose and wet our car, driveway, and finally me and my god sister. Because when we called the cops, they said our photos could be doctored and why didn't we take video. We've been told that they're tired of coming out here. That there's more important issues going on in Santa Ana. And when that same neighbor hit my dad with his car, and we went into the station the next day we were all but told we were trying to commit insurance fraud because my 67 year old dad wasn't sure exactly what part of the car hit him and he refused to lie and specify. That was after having to wait the better part of 3 hours at the station. And of course, being treated like criminals for not calling when it happened, even after we've been told they don't want to come out, and shown that it does no good. I unfortunately have zero trust in the ability or the competency of the Santa Ana Police Department. I also don't take this review lightly, but after a pattern of poor quality and interactions with the police, I can't defend the police in this area. I can't trust the police in my home town to protect or defend.
When are the city council members going to take action on this department? Their clearance rates are abysmal, probably because they are too busy playing loud music or harassing the press. Disrespectful of the community that pays them, poorly trained and generally dummies. Council! This is your responsibility
I believe the officers at the Santa Ana PD, get less credit than they deserve. Had a great Experience with Officer Gonzalez, he was at my place within 30 minutes of a non-emergency call. Handled the situation with utmost professionalism, even the lady who received the call was very professional and courteous. The job is tough...give them the credit they deserve. Thanks Officer Gonzalez.
Took so long to get an officer to just get an after injury report for an accident. They only allow the ones in the sector to do it which I find bs because you are adding an injury to an existing report.
Unfortunately I have to say I am extremely disappointed to know our tax money goes to these crooks. What good is it to have law enforcement if they are not going to help us when we actually need help. All they are good for is catching us when we make a human error and penalizing us for it. I am dissatisfied and hate to know this is our Police Department. We had an incident which was a hit and run and damaged our property but when the officer came all they said was that a report was not necessary even though we have the license plates because the damage was minor. It does not matter if the damage is minor write an incident report and let us take him to court but don't get lazy and find a way to get out of writing a report. Unfortunately now we are liable. I even said I am willing to take this to court does that not mean anything. I want this scumbag off the streets. I have to say I've lost all the respect I had for this department. Thanks again for being no help at all and thanks again for not caring and thanks again for taking tax payers money.
Literally today, I called for a possible firearm being found within the area where I used to live. The operator and the police were really helpful and were quick to respond. A previous firearm was located in the same area, firearm was used and loaded. We did not want to touch it, so we called it in. Thank you to the 2 officers who came. Unfortunately I did not get their names but will remember their appearances.
I was stopped by an Officer Navarro 21377 who gave me a fix-it ticket and he lied that I had 48 hours to have my window fixed, repeating that I had only two days but the ticket read different. What kind of police officer lies to the people that they are supposed to be protecting? And even so, what prompted him to lie in this situation escapes me. Very unprofessional of someone in uniform. If you're in the business of misinforming citizens, maybe this isn't the job for you.
