I just had the best massage I've ever had at Santa Barbara Sparkling Spa. Massages haven't been in my budget lately while stress is high and working from home has my body tense. I am so grateful to Santa Barbara Sparkling Spa for their generous massage deal; it made massage accessible and allowed me to get the muscle relaxation I've been needing. Scott was very professional in both his manner and his massage technique. He intentionally focused on my problem areas and went above and beyond to make sure I felt relief from the tension that manifests in my shoulders and neck. I can move my neck in ways I haven't been able to in far too long. Most massages feel predictable, like you can almost time the massage based on when they move to the next quadrant of your body. Scott, on the other hand, tailors the massage to your needs and it was by far the most relaxing massage I've had. You can tell he cares about bringing you relief and not about counting down the seconds until his next appointment. Thanks, Scott and Santa Barbara Sparkling Spa!
Emily knew what she was doing and did a great job all while being very professional. I felt like she really enjoyed her work and took pride in it, which leads to great results. I normally have a hard time with most massage therapist not going hard and deep enough, but Emily really knew how to put her body behind her hands and elbows to really get those deep knots without it being painful or leaving bruising. Above all it was one of the best massages I have had, from a talented and obviously dedicated massage therapist. Although the music was different from other chain parlors, I definitely preferred it. The atmosphere was great, and I loved the rooms.
I love the relaxation of a massage, but my neck and back pain are my main concern when looking for a good massage. I've had so many massages in the past, and have tried about ten different places since I've been in the Santa Barbara area. Without a doubt, Scott gave me THE BEST massage to date. The massage was PERFECT and just what I was looking for. Scott was able to give me the relaxing benefits of a massage while also addressing all my aches and pains better than anyone else ever has. Scott actually listens and explains what areas he's working on and why. My back has never felt better. How could it get any better than that?! Well it does! The environment is a beautiful modern & colorful place that overlooks state street from the cutest balcony, where you will likely enjoy a glass of water or champagne. Summary: I will never look for another massage place again, Scott is truly the BEST! I continually recommend him to all my friends. Thank you so much, Scott! I'll be making another appointment ASAP.
Wonderful, relaxing prenatal massage!! Hector is great, and I had two awesome prenatal massages with him. I’ve had prenatal massages multiple other places, and his were definitely the best. He’s professional and attentive. The decor and music is a bit more upbeat than a traditional spa just a heads up since I was expecting the usual, standard spa look and music. Definitely recommend!
My girlfriend and I got a Groupon for a couple massage. The massage team was a little awkward at first, but nice and professional. The massage was great, the enhancements worth it, although the team was a little insisting on giving a gratuity. I overall recommend this place, it's worth your time and money. Plus, you get the rest of the day to enjoy the beach!
My masseuse was professional, kind, and did an amazing job at finding all of the areas that needed the most attention on my neck and shoulders. The environment was tranquil, clean and such a great locale on State Street. I was so impressed with my massage that I purchased 2 more for future use!
Best massage ever! I have always had trouble finding a massage with the right pressure; it was either to light to not make a difference or too hard that I was sore for days. But behold, I have found the perfect massage with Scott! When I arrived, I was greeted by a sweet young lady who made me feel very invited and offered me a glass of sparkling wine! Yum! And what a nice touch! She suggested I enjoy my glass outside on the patio, and I'm glad she did! The patio overlooks state street and is very tropically themed the colors and decor made me feel I was in a tropical paradise. It was also very clean! Scott was very sweet and made me feel super comfortable. He took me into the massage room and we talk a bit about where I'm feeling stress and needed help with. We talked about the pressure and I also asked him if he can help me with my jaw I started clenching my jaw and it was sore. He assured me he can help with that. And he was right! The pressure was perfect and I don't tighten up because it was too hard but it wasn't too light that I felt like I wasn't getting any benefits. And my jaw pain was gone after. Best feeling ever. After my heavenly massage, I was so excited to book my next appt. I am now booked for every two weeks and I'm tempted to book every week! Thank you Scott! So yeah, this was the best massage ever! :
Really one of the best massages ever -- and I have had many. Roy was very professional and listened to my needs. The deep heat treatment was just what my back and neck needed. Just beware, it is up a long flight of stairs if you have walking issues. The name has changed and is now Sparkling Spa
Scott is so good at what he does he is very professional, thorough. He makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I leave feeling grounded and grateful. I have been in the Salon & Spa industry Over 25 years. I know what a good service is . Thank you Scott.
This place ROCKS! I've been to Glen Ivy, Burke Williams, Massage Envy, and the like but this place is takes the cake for customer satisfaction and quality of services. It is a private studio with very chic decor that doesn't just look like a sterile room. They have a fun and cool little place that makes it better than some corporate building. It is warm and inviting and so was my therapist, Lauryn. She is a pretty brunette who gives a pretty mean treatment! I LOVED her work on my shoulders. Now I feel more relaxed and stoked about finding this wonderful place to take my girlfriends to! If you're reading this, Lauryn, you are the best! Thanks so much!
