Less choices for food, but has good view. This food court is a beautiful place to visit than to eat now, since some good restaurants had shut down and less food choices to enjoy, including one kabob restaurant, with very juicy and delicious Mediterranean meats! However, this food court is located on the 3rd floor, with plenty of seating areas and beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. It is very comfortable and relaxing to just sit down with a cup of drink and enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze, with some pasta from Sbarro, the Italian restaurant, which it is the very few OK restaurants left.

The food court at Santa Monica Place is a cool and sanitary food court. Although it isn't too big, I believe that there is enough diversity in its range of cuisines for it to deserve 4 stars. From Asian cuisines such as Sarku Japanese bento boxes to French crepes from CrêpeMaker to plain American burgers, the food court caters to a variety of tastes. The atmosphere itself is nice; you can choose to sit outside under umbrellas or inside. There are plenty of seats to go around. There is also a mini indoors playground for kids to play in.
Half the eateries are out of business here. Better to walk down to the other food hall in third street 2 blocks down on the right.
I was hoping that this would be a good place at the mall to get food but upon entry, the look of it seemed... unfinished. The employees were nice so that was the saving grace for stars. Otherwise, there are only a few places available some were closed down, and vegan options were either way too expensive or they were on the menu but not available. I'd say just go to a restaurant or somewhere else in general.
At this time, there are only about three restaurants in the food court that are open. Although, there are a few stand alone restaurants on the third floor. This area is well maintained. There are a few tables inside, but there is a nice section open for outdoor dining too. As the economy re-opens, more of the restaurants in the food court will most likely re-open. The current offerings are budget friendly. On the weekend, be prepared to wait a bit longer for your food. I recommend the food court.
Some good food options although not as many as I expected. Generally clean and tidy with plenty of available seating.
