About Sumandeep Sarai Groh MD
Dr. Groh received a University Curators' Scholarship to attend the University of Missouri Kansas City BA/MD program. There she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the recipient of an Estill Scholarship, James J.Lynn Scholarship and Fulbright Scholarship.
After receiving her MD, she completed her residency in pediatrics at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr Groh is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine and serves on the Mission Health Cancer Institutional Review Board.
Prior to moving to the Asheville area, Dr. Groh was a staff physician In the emergency and intensive care departments at Cook Fort Worth Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas as well as a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan School of Medicine, Ann Arbor and an assistant professor at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Charlottesville.
In 2016 Dr Groh completed her fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with patients of all ages.
Dr Groh's clinical interests include nutrition, helping patients achieve optimum weight, stress management, anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, aging, men's and women's health, atopic dermatitis, and the relationship between inflammation and disease.
A firm conviction in teaching patients self-efficacy and guiding them in the healing process grounds Dr. Groh’s practice.
