WNC ENT Dr Barry Pate Jr MD

Dr. Barry Pate is very nice and he helped me get great results from the Ultherapy and Xeomin the complete face lift worked amazing I'm very satisfied and the Obagi cream works wonders for the outer layer of my skin.

I felt he did nothing to address my chronic nosebleeds. Said to use a spray. He "didn't want to mess around up there" inside my nose even though I told him a previous ENT doctor said a blood vessel needed to be cauterized. Also the office building was rampant with mold and I'm allergic to mold. What kind of medical facility would allow patients to be exposed to that?

I have been coming to this practice for 11 years with a very chronic ear condition! The previous specialist retired and Dr. Pate stepped in! Since then Dr. Pate has done a wonderful job in taking care of my specific health needs and has provided me with tools for my situation! The ladies up front are a rare find! Kind and compassionate and understanding. This is my family away from my family! Even though Dr. Pate seems dry! He is a wonderful doctor and gets the job done! Some conditons like in my case cannot be cured by medicine so I have entrusted this practice for however long, to take care of me!

We love Dr. Pate and his staff! They just worked a family member in for an urgent need and handled it all with efficiency and kindness. Dr. Pate was thorough and effective in his treatment, explained everything clearly, and gave us written instruction as well. We think highly of both him and his staff.

People listen up! I have had trouble out of my right ear for several years! Yes I said YEARS! I was at the point I couldn’t hear and was in pain. My doctor had sent me to a doctor near advent health few years back without any relief. I decided to find me a doctor to help me on my own. Folks let me tell you, I found a really good one. I called WNC Ear, Nose, and Throat on McDowell Street in Asheville NC. Dr. Pate Jr. I called on Monday left my name and number. I received a call back within minutes. The sweetest young lady, very concerned about me, calling back to get me an appointment ASAP. I was seen the very next day!! Dr. Pate Jr is the nicest man. He is very thorough. He took one look at my ear and knew exactly what my problem was. When I left his office I could hear out of my right ear! Folks I’m telling you, please do yourself a favor and go to this doctor for all your ear, nose, and throat issues. I know I will. I just had to share... God bless all!! I’m so thankful

I went to Dr Barry Pate Sr. for years. When he retired Barry Pate Jr took over. A few years back Dr Pate had to take something on my throat out. I was in the best of care. I had no reservations abot how my surgery would go. Now it's come back and I will place myself in Dr Pates hands again. I went to another ENT at one time and the Dr I saw was so rude. So I will stick with Dr Pate.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pate’s for several years. Dr. Pate and his staff have given me excellent care. I would highly recommend Dr.Pate. His staff have always worked me in with an appointment when I have an emergency.

Dr. Pate is very nice and listens to your concerns. I have seen him several times and feel confident with the level of care. His staff is great and very welcoming.

Referred here with a serious thyroid condition , only to arrive after waiting a while on this date, only to be told they didn't accept my insurance and asked to pay $150 up front right then. The lady at the desk was coldhearted in turning me away and cared nothing about the fact of their oversight & mistake not mine. They had my insurance information the day the referral was sent and didn't catch it before I got into the office. It was beyond unprofessional and I felt in this situation it could have been billed.1st do no harm? Meanwhile my condition is worsening waiting for a new referral to be processed.

Did not address concerns including a known and previously diagnosed sinus condition. Spent less than 10 seconds examining ears and nose, then referred to someone else. Will be trying Asheville Head Neck & Ear, doctors there have a much better reputation.
