9 hours in the ER on a Monday morning with sepsis. Got up and left, was seen at glens falls ER within 20 min of arrival. How can you call yourselves an EMERGENCY room?
Some of you have no idea what's going on in the hospitals across the nation right now. The fact that you are alive and able to make a 1 star post says a lot. This is one of the best hospitals in our area, and the staff are working their hardest to be there for our community. Sure, you may have to wait longer these days but it's nothing compared to other hospitals wait times. You don't want to be that first person that is rushed back. You may not get all the answers you want, but that's why you have primary care doctors and follow ups. This is the best hospital in our area and I will continue to allow them to care for me during an emergency situation.
No words.... Literally,no words to describe the disappointment and sadness about this hospital. The waiting time it's worse than anywhere I've ever been. Thought Albany was bad,but boy,was I wrong? Came in with atrocious pain, for some pain medication,to get me thru the night, till I'd go to see my primary, just to stay and wait for two hours, asking for something to take the pain away, and be told that they cannot promise anything. Ended up leaving... might as well suffer in my bed, than waiting there. This is the last time I'm coming in here... The protocols and political correctness, has made everyone loose their human touch
Most horrible experience of my life here. They only care about getting people in and out the door as fast as possible. They do not care about the health and well being of patients. Beyond unprofessional as well. I complained about my pain being 8 out of 10 and they told me go go home and take motrin. The nurses didn't even note in my chart that I complained of pain at discharge. I get the pandemic changed things but this ER needs to be permanently closed. I lost all faith in all the medical staff there.
Husband went at 3:15 pm with severe abdominal pains and vomiting and 6 HOURS LATER…STILL WAITING TO BE SEEN. Tried calling to see the delay and nurse was EXTREMELY RUDE and the pain continues. They just DONT CARE! Next time, Ellis or St.Peters Hospital! Stay away from Saratoga Hospital
Awful place to go. They let all the good nurses go that didn’t get the jabby jab forced Chinese Covid flu shot. One nurse was so mean to a guy in the room cause she had to keep going in to see him it interfered with her time on her cellphone
Why work in a hospital if you have zero compassion. It’s disheartening to be treated so rudely when a loved on is being “treated” for something serious. Saratoga ER is a bonafide bandaid station at best. Quality control doesn’t even return genuine concerns. Unfortunately their priorities are on backwards. Highly recommend another hospital. ANY other Hospital.
I waited 5 hours in the waiting room and left unseen by any physician. I had watched people with serious conditions waiting in pain while others that came after us come and go. When I had asked for updates after so long I was told “there was so much going on back there” and then nothing. I drove 45 minutes one way from home because I had heard of the quality of service and was very disappointed.
I was surprised at how awful the "care" was. I was also surprised that they asked me what religion I am. What does my religion have to do with anything? Why did they ask me, an ordinary-looking person, about my religion? Perhaps they didn't like the answer and that's why I was ignored for hours with no fluids, no pain mgmt, nothing. And they forgot to tell me the results of some of my tests. If I have a choice, I will never go back there and I strongly suggest no one go there.
One of their "doctors" told my 17 year old boyfriend that his heart rate of 40 BPM and regular severe chest pain and palpitations is normal. The ONLY situation this heart rate is "normal" is for a HIGHLY TRAINED ATHELETE. which he is not. His heartbeat is dangerously low and this so-called doctor dismissed him before even meeting him. There is clearly something wrong when a young boy comes in with an extremely abnormal heart rate to the point where we recieved a call from the primary doctor at 9 PM telling us we need to go to the emergency room. Obviously at least one doctor here is completely unqualified and it is scary to think of how many other dangerous cases he has dismissed and invalidated.
