I've been to this hospital for serious issues twice in the last two years and each time they nearly killed me. In 2021 I had back surgery there and although the Dr did a good job I was sent home without any blood thiners which resulted in me getting blood clots that went strait to my chest and caused a serious crises. I was just there again, stupid me. I had been previously diagnosed in a Michigan hospital with covid. After arriving home my condition continued to deteriorate . Saratoga diagnosed that I now had pneumonia but told me to go home, it would go away. Again no meds. It wasn't until three days later that a Dr in my gp's office prescribed two prescription inhalers and at that time my condition started to improve immediately. These are serious screw ups and both could have caused me my life. Please don't go to this hospital for anything serious. You'll regret it.
I recently had the privilege of visiting , and I can confidently say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped foot through the doors, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that permeated throughout the hospital. Every member of the staff, from the receptionists to the medical professionals, exuded genuine care and compassion.
I had the worst ever medical experience I have ever had at this hospital ER in 2022. I went to the ER while having two different medical issues. One was a medication issue that affected my mental state. The hospital staff did not let my partner who knew the situation to come with me. He was told he had to wait outside while it was pouring rain at night. I ended up waiting outside in the pouring rain for hours with my partner until I could be seen while feeling extremely sick. The lack of compassion and understanding by this hospital and staff is horrid and completely unacceptable. I would never recommend anyone going to this emergency room. I thought about legal action but then decided against it. I hope no one else is treated the way me and my partner were treated by these incredibly uncaring hospital staff.
The nurses are kind and do their job very well in a timely manner. The wait times are sometimes considerably long to get checked in for the E-R, it depends on the severity of the situation, but it’s all worth it. I recommend this hospital.
I’ve been helping my elderly father prepare for his hip surgery for the last few months by taking him to his appointments and I have to say Thelma, the elderly woman who barks at people in the waiting room and gives you the stink eye, is extremely rude. She talks to me and my family like we are idiots or criminals and points her finger at us. I sat in the waiting room for 5.5 hours just to have her kick us out of the waiting area before I could see my father after his recovery. I also told just about every confused looking patient that “this floor 2-pre-op is where to wait and listen for your name”. Someone isn’t doing their job if that many patients and families are confused. I have to say, I’m appalled by the way I’ve been treated by Thelma! Not a person that should be communicating with families and making them feel like their a bunch of idiots for not knowing where to be! Thank god the nurses and doctor O’Connor treated us much better.
This hospital sent my very ill father home twice before they finally admitted him. He was in the hospital for four days before he actually passed away. He was wearing a family heirloom wedding ring which had been in the family for several generations. His wife died 20 yrs prior and he would not take off this ring. Someone stole this ring off of his cold dead hand, and though the nurses admitted that the ring was on his finger when they zipped up the bag, it disappeared. I am soooooo disgusted that they pushed it under the rug and just said “sorry”. Do not trust this hospital in any way, shape, or form. I really want to give zero stars but it won’t allow me
This experience may have been the worst experience I have ever encountered. We went right at the cusp of the local urgent care places closing- needed an x-ray. Arrived before 8- XRay done around 45 mins after arrival, tech said abt 20/30 mins before we would know resume. 6 hours later !! Yes SIX HOURS later we were called back - another hour before we were told results! Just got a call back nearly a month and a half later because admissions enters our address wrong- not sure how that happens when she read it off if my license. Wrong house number, wrong steet - and now billing has been returned to sender. Worst experience ever. If i could give zero stars I wouldn’t hesitate to.
My family has been going to Saratoga hospital for almost 20 years. We have always been treated with respect and even though occasionally we have had to wait, the staff has made it clear they will get us taken care of us ASAP!!!
After reading alot of comments about this hospital and the Staff members. I now know im not the only one who was really, concerned with how the nurses were trained and some of them where so incompetent I was ready to go home after my 3rd day of being treated like a burden. I had a 6 hour back surgery and spent 5 days in the hospital and was so upset with how I was treated I never want to go there again.
I had recently came in after having a bad allergic reaction to a walnut. The nurses and doctor was really nice and I had the best experience here! It’s no wonder that this hospital ranks with an A for patient care!
