Saratoga Spa Championship Golf Course

Courses in great shape and a beautiful layout. Has some challenging holes but not overly filled with sand traps or water like some courses. The elevated greens with their subtle undulations will challenge you, at least they challenged me. The prices go up during racing season FYI.

Not a bad golf course, in decent condition, pretty flat, and a hefty price for being out of state. Some holes are challenging, but most arent. A good course to see "how low can you go?"

Rude unprofessional guy at desk per other reviews he seems to have issues with helping customers we were inquiring about tee times and green fees he needs a course in Customer Service. They say 1st impressions are everything and boy we were not impressed. Do yourself a favor golf at the Saratoga Lake Golf Course the guys there were helpful and kind and were happy to answer all our questions.

Course was in great shape, greens not hard but rolled well....true. Good speed. Tee times spaced well. We moved along but rarely waited and no one behind us pushed us either. And I took $3 from my brother. What's not to like!!

Beautiful course! Well kept. And the hot dogs at the bar are delicious! I rented clubs and they were a very nice brand.

One of the best value countries I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Good course to score on for longer hitters and don’t be fooled by the fact they don’t have a STimp reading- these run at probably a 12!

If you're looking for Bethpage conditions, you'll be disappointed. If you enjoy decent fairways that aren't consumed by crabgrass, you'll be happy here. Rather disappointed that grounds/maintenance didn't bother cutting fresh cups for a Saturday weekend play. Slow greens that could benefit from some verticutting and top dressing more often. Very nice renovations to their bunkering. Limited drink selections from beverage cart, pushy ranger telling us to speed up in 95° heat after hitting the restaurant for proper beverages at the turn. Decent price for NYS residents but for $60, there are better options in the capital region.

I have played here off and on since 2012 and would regularly manage 2 or 3 rounds a year. This year due to a change in career I have so far notched up over a dozen rounds of golf. One thing that has always stood out is the friendly welcoming nature of the club. Whether it is in the Spring or the Summer, early tee time, late tee time or even a twilight game, the warm, welcoming facility puts you at ease at the start of your round. The shop has a good selection of items and the desk is always managed by a warm smiling face and a good positive word. The greens are fabulous considering the foot traffic they receive and the course layout challenges most aspects of your game. The tee time spacings are appropriate and up until yesterday I had never encountered a truly slow round, yesterday was the exception. Low and behold the course martial appears and leads me to a different hole to speed up my round and get me back on track. It's a testament to the tee time spacings that this is the first time I have seen a course martial ON THE COURSE, normally they are just there to check you in and tee you off. Love it, love it, love it. I would offer that perhaps and incentive to locals would be to offer a rewards system whereby a certain number of rounds in the summer gets you a free or discounted round in the fall, just a thought. And to other golfers reading this REPAIR YOUR PITCH MARKS and DIVOTS PLEASE.

Enjoyed the par 29 course! Hope to play the 18 hole course on the next visit.
