I enjoyed the Club. It is great it is still around. The greens were beautiful and all but 2 fairways were excellent. The other 2 - over seeded and fertilizer applied. We had a great buffet and the Professional Staff made us feel at home.
Stopped with my niece and several family members to tour the country club for a possible wedding next year. I felt the facility was very nice and offered some great options.
I visited sparrows point country club for a wedding reception. It was beautiful and the employees were very friendly. The bathroom is huge and the entire building was very clean
I just had my 40th birthday party at Sparrows Point and I could not be happier with how it turned out! Since it was my 40th it was a big event. I worked closely with Kiersten and she was an absolute joy! I told her my vision and she made it come true! She was great to work with, had wonderful communication and didn’t hesitate to go above and beyond! The waitstaff and bartenders and all employees were amazing and professional and the food was absolutely delicious! All my guest raved about the beauty of the grounds and the views were the best in Baltimore! I highly recommend Sparrows Point County Club for all future events!
Need better lighting at the entrance. Overall really nice place.
Was member for the summer. What a terrible experience. The gm and pro were unprofessional and down right rude. The food was sub par and very pricy. The course is poorly maintained. Most of the course does not drain water. So after a few hours of rain there will be standing pools of water that mosquitoes breed and live in miserable. Someone investor bought the property and they closed a portion of the holes I think it’s a 23 hole facility now. The buildings are from the 1920s and have not been updated in decades. Not worth the money. You will be disappointed.
It's a fun course it's narrow and a lot of room for improvement I the bunker's. The fairways are cut to short and hard from lack of water.
Very nice place for my work to have it's Christmas party.
My wife and I took some tennis lessons there in 2014 during her last year of med school. We absolutely loved the tennis pro they had Josh. He was also a great ambassador for the club. One day, we were the only ones taking a lesson so he talked us into skipping the lesson and he gave us a tour of the club and even briefly met with the general manager. We explained to the manager that we really liked Josh and we really liked the club but we were moving soon. Told him that we did plan on trying to come back to the area after my wife finished her residency. Fast forward to 2019 and my wife accepted a job in Baltimore and we moved back to the area. We made contact with the club and we were disappointed that the tennis pro that we liked so much was no longer there. We did talk to the the new guy but we weren't as impressed. They also seem to have a new manager as well. Manager was ok but not greatly sold on the club like we once were. Just didn't have the same feeling about it. All in all, it's a decent club and I like the water areas there but it just wasn't the best fit for us anymore.
Join this place. Have fun. Stop playing public courses. 4 hours is a long round here.
