Which is originated from the hombu dojo of Japan. Christenham Sensei has over 40 years of experience of martial arts practice not limited to Aikido alone. The Sarpy club is the home dojo of Christenham Sensei and we are honored to have his wealth of knowledge to share with us. His sons Rick and Jeff Christenham are also practitioners, Sensei Jeff (as we call him) is the Chief Instructor of the Sarpy Club and holds a 5th dan in aikido along with an extensive background in other arts. Sensei Rick holds a 3rd dan and has extensive knowledge in Iaido. There is a vast amount of knowledge in the dojo that the Christenham's pass on through them and the yudansha they have trained through the years. Many of our club members have a background in other arts and have found aikido to blend well with them. This is a family oriented club who support each other in all aspects of life. The head of AHI (Aikido Hawaii International) is Kubo Sensei from Hawaii. Kubo sensei has trained with the founder of Aikido O'Sensei ,(Morihei Ueshiba), and attained his Black belt from him. Kubo sensei has been all over the world sharing his knowledge of Aikido and we more than appreciate his annual visits and the knowledge he passes on to us.
To pass on to others the joy of martial arts training and the attributes that come from the training such as focus, honor, harmony, peace. The close friends and relations that can not be avoided in such a setting.
