At first I didn’t know if this was a real shoe shop but I gave it a try. The ambience is so cool! It’s built like a traditional general store, very classic old western like. There are so many shoes! And they are made right here in San Antonio. Everyone in the store was very helpful. They even help you take your shoe off and put the new shoes on for you. Like I said, very old school. Every shoe that I put on was extremely comfortable. Lety was very knowledgeable on how each shoe was made. When I checked out at the register Joe was super friendly. It was my birthday so they gave me a discount. He even sang happy birthday to me in his Elvis impersonation. : on the way out, Lety gave me a hug and a bag of popcorn for my birthday. Overall it was a wonderful experience!
Best shoe store in the entire world! It is like a theme park for shoes! Antique cars, treats and shoes! If you should ever find yourself in San Antonio and you would like a great pair of locally made shoes - this is the place to visit and it a great experience.
I needed new non slip shoes for my restaurant server job. Letty helped me pick the perfect pair and I got a 20% birthday discount. Great selection and knowledgeable staff. A good investment for my feet that walk 5-7 miles daily at work.
We have shopped at SAS Factory Outlet for several years. The store is large, inviting and the staff are helpful and friendly. I've never been unsatisfied with a purchase and never felt pressured to purchase. It's my go to store for shoes of quality and comfort purchased in a pleasant atmosphere.
Came by for 5 cent popcorn and the 10 cent soda pop, They were closed down and just reopened. I hope they get back to some sort of normalcy. Overall, everything is top notch in here. Top of the line. Come on down and take a walk down memory lane. Check out all the antiques here. The candy store bags are smaller but, just as good. The ice cream is also good. So come on down and call ahead for the hours.
I've frequented this historical venue for many years. If you like vintage cars, SAS has them on the lot. There are also various pieces of really old furniture, an ancient washer, I think, and really so much more than I can tell you about here. There's lots on the property to see, and of course they offer SAS shoes and more. Naturally, I like the old timey and hard to find candies, even some I grew up loving and thought were a thing of the past, and they offer 10 cent bags of popcorn totally yum and 5 cent sodas.... or is it 5 cent popcorn and 10 cent sodas? At any rate, when company comes in from out of town, SAS is always on the site seeing tour, right up there with the Alamo and the Missions!
I was told the shoes are made at that same San Antonio location. Pricing is a bit lower than the posted online price so that was a nice surprise at check out. It was nice getting popcorn and a drink for less than a quarter.
We no longer live in San Antonio but we make sure to take care of our footwear needs whenever we are visiting. I have SAS shoes that are more than ten years old that I still wear. Love the factory store! Vintage cars, gift items and candy. Sometimes we come just for a bag of the candy.
Beautiful place especially 10 cents for coke cola and 5 cents for popcorn especially their 4.50 of any type of candy you can fill the little bucket . Best to take with the kids even their Beautiful old school cars and history of our shoes.
I am very happy with my shoes . I have a heavy foot and, normally go thru shoes fairly quick. These "SAS"shoes are the best footwear I've ever purchased . My pep is back and my steps feel unlimited! Thank you San Antonio Shoes for your product you have a loyal customer for life
