Very clean quite park, people and staff are very friendly. Lots to do in town, very clean and towns people are friendly, they take pride in Port Elgin and it shows. Great place to camp. I deal for future seniors, to locate. People there take very great care of there units. Baseball park was great, very well used, so was able to watch games all weekend long. Cons! Electric power not enough for very big trailers, example, you have the A/C on and try to use other electrical devices and it shorts out. That's why. WIFI, only in the front office. Camp is owned and operated by town, a number of people have requested more WIFI, not sure if they will comply. Had two teens in summer school online so they had to go to the office, met up with a senior who let us use her WIFI, so my kids were able to get there work done. Goes to show you how wonderful the folks are
Nice little campground, lots of friendly locals when I was there last on a bike trip. Met a few locals who helped me plan my route and adjust from a generally directionless bike ride to a hap-hazard brewpub tour through Ontario, stopping to meet some of their friends along the way. Not many trees at the campground which made setting up my hammock a little challenging but I made do with one tree and a fence post!
Municipal Park staff were great.Beach was awesome and just a short hike from park.
Good mini vacation get away. Port Elgin is a great little town. Seriously tourism in the summer. Worth the drive to check it all out. Many little shops and things to see and do. Not really a place for teens. But it is a great family get away or vacation.
Great beach access, lots are very close to each other. Everyone is very friendly. Great place to spend a summer weekend
Families been here for 57 years park is nice not much extra provided other than your site. 2 kids playgrounds are nice. Washrooms not well kept at all. Most staff are nice managment staff argumentative and dont care shawn. Pluses....great location decent sites.
This past wk-end was aweful as the hydro kept going off and staying off for a couple of hours, so my air conditioning and had to keep fridges closed! It was so blinking hot inside the trailer and outside. So no 3 star this week.
I've been coming here since I was a kid. My family has had a trailer here since the 80s. Nice and quiet, with friendly neighbours. Staff are helpful and friendly. 5 minutes from the beach.
Yikes. Why they call this a Tourist camp is beyond me. It's a trailer park with 6 or so ugly spots for overnight campers. Cramped, muddy, uncomfortable. We didn't stay. Staff was nice so they deserve stars.
They really stuff them in here. Location is prime and that makes sense. Great if you had young kids as walkable to the beach while giving the camping experience.
