My wife and I wanted to do some exploring in our canoe and decided to launch from here. Best described by others as a hidden gem. You can tell that it is family operated - pride of ownership everywhere and attention to detail. Excellent staff. Beautiful beach and overall location well off the rideau system superhighway. We'll be back.
We stayed here for 8 nights. They have seasonal and transient sites with electrical and waste pickup. The sites were spaced out enough to have enough privacy. We enjoyed the beach and the many somewhat challenging hiking trails. A nice treat was that we were able to order fire oven baked pizza located on-site. Very cool. The staff were courteous and attentive. We would definitely come back again. Update: June 2022. Stayed for only 2 nights. Noticed they have bought new pontoon boats and updated the dock. You can clearly tell ownership pride. All area's are kept clean, daily groomed beach. Very courteous, attentive staff. I had forgotten my charging cable and asked if they sold charging cables, which they replied, no. But, they offered to lend me a cable. It's not a big deal, but proves how they're willing to go that extra mile.
Had our first pizza from here and it was amazing! I’m not a crust person, but this crust was top notch. We got the loaded and it was just that. Tons of toppings, and all fresh. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed. We had ours leashed and he just laid under the table. All the dogs we saw were leashed. Picnic area: We sat and ate at one of the little outside tables. Nice clean area.
First time tent camping here. Will stay again if given the chance. Well worth the drive. Very quiet, well maintained lots, friendly and helpful staff. Tons on wildlife passing through the sites. Restrooms: Both outhouses and flushing toilets available. Shower area was better than I expected.
Unfortunately I have to cancel my tent only spot for July 22 to 25 - its up for grabs if anyone wants it. Contact Skycroft. Spent 3 nights early July. This place is really nice, well maintained. The owner and his crew are constantly keeping the place clean and tidy up every lot as soon as guests leave. They obviously take great pride of their campsite. Lots are big and private. Fishing is unreal, caught so much bass, I had to just catch and release. Boat ride up the lake to Chaffey's Locks is also highly recommended.
A slice of heaven on earth! Wonderful, peaceful, quiet, very well maintained, clean and welcoming. Our best camping trip to date. Crystal clear water, perfect beach and excellent fishing. Can’t find a better campground in Ontario!
My family has stayed here many times through the years. Stopped in to get some pizza the other day and it was really good! Def would recommend
We have camped here for years , it’s clean and has lots to do for kids . The owners are really great people .
So impressed with this beautiful campground. They were professional, attentive, and reasonably priced! They are situated on a beautiful chunk of wooded land that they have structured with fields to play on, and trails to hike. They have great watercraft activities for just $15/person for the entire day, not to mention stone cooked pizza that is delicious! I would absolutely come back here again and recommend it to anyone thinking about going camping!
I love it my grandma has a trailer there and u go almost every weekend one of the best camp grounds I've been do i recommend camping there alot. Alot of pictures of there amazing lake!.
