Horrible experience with Kim Schaefer. Extremely disappointed since we had scheduled the appointment twice, and Kim didn't turn up on the zoom calls. We then repeatedly called her office and sent emails to her for rescheduling the appointments, but it was all in vain since till date we haven't heard back from Kim or her team. I have also raised multiple times for refund but there is no response on it. I believe this is a trap to lure customers at a low consultation price and not turn up on appointments later. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not recommend anyone to take services from this law firm since money, time and efforts are wasted.

I have never written a 1-star review before, but I really don't think there is anything good that I could say about this law firm. I won't attack the character of those who work here, as all the receptionists and attorney Kim Schaeffer seem like good people, but I tried to get an appointment to talk about applying for an adjustment of status for my wife, and they never responded to any of my communications. I started calling them to set up an appointment and answer a couple simple questions that wouldn't take more than 2 minutes of their time back in September, but they would always just tell me that they would call or email me back--something that they never did. I ended up calling them 4 or 5 times over the course of nearly 4 months to see if they could help with this time sensitive task, and it was always the same, "we will call or email you back as soon as possible" never giving me a timeline of when that call might come, even when I asked for one.  The calls and emails never came.  I eventually went into the office in-person because I was at a funeral in the area, and I met Ms. Schaeffer herself. I appreciated that she took a couple of minutes to take down my information herself, and she apologized that she was extremely busy, but that is something that should be communicated well before I am forced to come in-person to the office just to get ahold of her. That occurred back in November, and she still has yet to reach out a single time.  I understand that companies are busy, I understand that they aren't obligated to give anyone that calls them their services, but I also know that it takes a minute and a half to send an email or call me to tell me that they are so busy they can't take any new clients. Instead, they just decided to never contact me in any way, and that is just unprofessional.  If you want immigration attorney assistance in a timely manner, or a response when you email or call someone, I would go somewhere else.

I wish i could give a negative star rating to Schaefer Law Firm. We had rescheduled the appointment multiple times and the immigration lawyer "Kim" never turned up. Even after multiple calls to the reception and emails to Kim, there was no response at all . Also, they didn't even refund our money since the meetings never happened as "Kim" never turned up. They are so unprofessional that i really don't have words to express. The reception office is simply taking messages and has no idea where the "Kim" is. Kim is quick to take your money, but will ignore your texts/calls/voicemails/emails. I just hope no one in future reaches out to them for any kind of law service unless they are prepared to waste their time, effort and money. Save yourself the money & heartache of having your immigration process delayed. GO FIND ANOTHER ATTORNEY!!!

Can we give zero stars?- need i say more? Did not complete her commitments but took upfront fees for all phases of doing a k1. Left us in the middle at the most crucial juncture of our case. No communication no call backs -nothing.  We had to hire another attorney in the middle and had to refile. Asked her for a refund- but none given

If I could give Schaefer law firm 0 stars I would. The entire time I have worked with them, they have been unresponsive and unprofessional. Over the course of the last year, they have not responded to a single email, or phone call regarding my case. Save your time and money, and find someone more professional. I already paid, but I am in the process of now having to find another attorney that will actually do their job, and has time for my case. Don't waste your time.

Schaefer Law Firm did an exceptional job!  When I applied for my green card, Scott Peterson worked as my attorney.  He was knowledgeable, friendly, and advised me regarding the filing of paperwork and next steps.  Any time that I called with questions regarding the process, he either answered or promptly returned my calls.  The same promptness followed for any emailed correspondence.  Further, he made himself available from the first meeting with him to the final immigration interview, and ensured that he made time to meet with me and my wife in person when we requested it.  Completely worth every penny spent!  I highly recommend using this law firm.

Schaefer Law Firm team helped us beyond expectations! They were there for us through the entire green card process. They helped us with the paperwork and they answered each and every question we had. They even prepared us perfectly for our interview! My wife has now obtained her green card with the help of Schaefer law. Even if we do have any questions in the future we will contact them. Highly recommend this incredible team!
