The Rehab staff was the best! Jessica L. and Michael resolved my “frozen shoulder” diagnosed by Dr. Molnar In just a few painful months. Their care was to the point and yet with a touch of humor and care. Definitely recommend to ask for them.
I had a tear of my bicep tendon in my right arm. I am an active person and I play Disc Golf all the time. The injury became so bad I was in pain all the time. I was 55 when I had my surgery. I started playing disc golf again in 6 months and about 14 months later, April 2023, I won my first tournament and July 2023 I played in the World Amateur Disc Golf championship in Flagstaff. I am pain free and my arm feels great. Just follow your PT schedule to make sure you get the best result. Thanks Dr. Getelman.
Dr. Bahk did surgery on my shoulder and has been amazing; however, it is extremely difficult to get ahold of people at this office.. from questions about my care, to medication concerns, to scheduling physical therapy, it’s like pulling teeth. A lack of consistency is frustrating and difficult to deal with. It’s a shame because the care when you’re actually inside the office is amazing. They just need a better communication system.
Last few times I waited an hour and a half to see the doctor’s PA 1hr and 25min waiting at time of this review Lots of grumpy people like me in the waiting room. Mediocre care as well. PT was right about this place. My care is getting a little stale here. Time to move on for my health.
Dr. Getelman put my shoulder back together. The rotator cup tendon was severed and the biceps tenden was 50% gone due to ostero arthritis. He put everything back together and thanks to awesome physical therapy I'm back at almost a normal activity level after 4 months post-op.
So I have been dealing with the office staff for a very long time. I am now on my third PA. For some reason the office manager/surgery scheduler is a ghost in the office. I have been in the office when they look for her and she is gone. My surgery has been approved for about six months and my lawyer can’t even get her to set a date. The office assistant/medical assistant is nice and is always willing to help. I’ve seen my main doc like twice. He seems good but honestly I can even really give a great report because the two times I’ve seen him were super fast. Maybe once I finally get my surgery I can change my review but for now this is what I’m dealing with. In pain and just waiting.
Dr was great but as for getting me the help I needed they don’t call you back I have left so many voice mails and they don’t return calls - can barley walk and need epidural yet the nurse never calls me back -
ICLA eefered me and my ins approved. I ledt multiple. oicemIls and never got a call back. My UCLA case worker left messages and he has not receive a call back its been weeks. When you need to start physical therapy this is place will set you back a month just trying to get a call back. ow their mail box is full. if your having the same problem file a grievance with UCLA.
Excellent care and support from the doctor and her staff. Procedure and care were clearly explained and post-op follow-up was helpful. Top notch group.
Do not recommend. Go to Ventura Orthopedics if possible. When you're in pain, you need things done efficiently. I needed an MRI, no one called me to schedule after it was approved. I found out and scheduled 2 weeks after approval. Then, the person responsible for the MRI reports was either out or backed up. There was no handoff or communication of either. Went to my doctor for a follow up, and there was no report, so I had to come back in another week, which was another week of unnecessary suffering. I was later referred to PT. I had to wait a month before initial consultation. Other PT places, it was easier to schedule after the initial consultation, but here, I was not able to see the therapist more than 5 times in 2 months! UCLA Health should be embarrassed to have SCOI associated to their name. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why UCLA Health fell from US News #1 Rank in Health Care to #5 in 2022?
