Scott Township Pool is a community swimming pool available for public recreational use, competitive swimming events, private parties and more.
The Scott Township Swimming Pool was the vision of the Board of Commissioners who had an urgent need to refurbish the nearly 50 year old pool. The original Scott Pool was opened in May of 1968 and served the community well teaching kids of all ages the joy of aquatics.
Through creative, economical design and efficient execution of the plan the original pool was demolished and the new pool built and opened in an amazing 8 months. The new Scott Pool is a state of the art facility completed in May of 2016 and opened on May 28 for the Memorial Day weekend.
The pool has many unique features including a zero entry section with water spray and overhead buckets dumping water every 20 seconds. Alongside the Zero Entry is a handicapped ramp, including a pool access wheelchair and a pool lift for ease of entry for handicapped patrons. A 12-foot climbing wall is already a huge hit with young and old testing their strength and agility. A two flume, 15 foot high water slide delivers the swimmers into the water at high speed and high fun! A recreational diving board in the deep end is a great way to display your diving talent. The pool is also multifunctional on a competitive basis boasting a 50 meter Olympic sized racing course and an United States Swimming sized 25 yard racing course. The pool can also host water polo and synchronized exhibitions. All in all Scott Pool is a terrific recreational facility with endless programming potential.
