Had a great time with our family. The lake is beautiful and the perfect temperature for swimming. We also enjoyed the various trails around the lake and levy, and the views were stunning.
Came to Scott's Flat to try something new and it's nestled in a beautiful area. There's plenty of trees and shaded areas to retreat to on a hot day. The water was also perfect at about 72°. The day use fee was $17 on memorial day could be less on a non-holiday. There were maybe 30-40 parking spots in the day use, but don't quote me on that as I didn't count. Just get there early if you want a spot. For that many cars though, the area felt a bit crowded and small. Boats also create wakes day use area isn't a no wake zone so don't expect 100% calm water. I paddled out to a no wake area, but you get pushed around on the way there and back by the boats. I also traveled around campsites and there's some awesome sites near the water on both sides. Most sites are on the smaller side and the majority are not level so come prepared if tent camping. Overall, it's a beautiful lake with a nice backdrop. It's just better suited for boaters. I do hear that they have no boating days though, so if you like to paddleboard keep an eye out. Not sure on the frequency.
Love this place! We take a picnic and our puppy to get her used to the water. The gate person is so nice! Easy access to the water. Nice campsites too. Restrooms: We saw many restrooms but did not use one. So can't let you know how they were. But the whole area is very clean and well taken care of. Dog-friendliness: Our puppy loved it.
It’s not too bad, shower did not have hot water. We’ll have to try again… place is beautiful.
One of the nicest camp grounds we've been to. My wife and I will be back next year a couple of times.
Been going there for over 40 years. Actually got into our old sites, 3, 3A and 2. Reservation system sucks. It's been 10 years since we were able to get those sites. People now get them 6 months in advance by doing the multiple site deal, then cancel and pay the reservation fee. We just love this lake though and enjoy it every year.
Beautiful lake and nice, roomy campsites. There is a day use area as well. Unfortunately, not everyone follows the *quiet hours*, but usually that is weekends and at group sites. Otherwise, it is a peaceful spot and nice hiking trail along the water. Lake is great for swimming, kayaking, SUP, and small water crafts for fishing, tubing, and skiing!
We visited in July 2021. First time being there but you could tell the lake was pretty low. Was a pretty decent hike out to the water from the day use parking area. Since the lake is so low there's no shade to speak of near the water so bring your own! Lots of cool rocks to find along the shore but also a good amount of nasty mud next to the water so be careful of that. My son nearly lost his shoe. Looking forward to coming back here after we've had some rain.
One of my favorite places, staff always very friendly, the lake is beautiful, luckily this year the water was high. Great place to create beautiful moments! People don’t forget your trash behind!
We spent 5 nights here in early October and loved every second of it! We stayed during the week so the campsites were mostly empty. We had a spot which allowed us to see the lake with no obstructions which was nice. The staff was very helpful and made rounds every few hours. They make sure to keep the trash cans empty to keeps bears from coming into camps. The campsites were quiet and well maintained. The water was crystal clear which was very refreshing.
