Dr. Hugh E. Murray founded Sea Country Dental over ten years ago on the simple philosophy that "The Patient Comes First".

I really hate how much they sell additional dental treatments and services. They won’t take no for an answer. If you are looking for understanding and consideration then stay away from this dental office!!!
After retirement I signed up for dental coverage through Kaiser Permanente Advantage Plus. The plan is administered by Delta Dental. I have tried so many of the dentists on the plan and have not been happy. That is until now. I found Sea Country Dental as one of my plan participants, scheduled an appointment for a problem I was having with a crown and couldn't have been more pleased. From making the appointment to meeting with Leila Manshadi DDS to discuss the replacement of the crown and then finally meeting with the finance person who explained my insurance benefits and what the out the door cost would be I just finished the crown today and it is absolutely perfect and was painless. They really give you the feeling that they care and you're not just another name on a file. Thank you Sea Country for making this experience a positive one I will definitely be back.
I'm back in south county after years away, and so have come back to my preferred dentist office. In my time away Dr. Hugh Murray retired he was THE BEST!, but the new dentist is also awesome as is the staff. I was pretty shocked at how poor the quality of dentistry was in both other offices I went to in Newport and Beverly Hills of all places. Sea Country is pretty much as good as dentistry gets in my opinion, and they're happy, smiling people too!
I was refused service for having asthma. Then they fined me for being a "no-show" even when they are the ones who told me they couldn't see me and they got money from my insurance so I can't go to the dentist now for 6 months. I've been going here for over a decade. DONT GO HERE.
Best dental experience I’ve had. Usually dental offices try to make it feel welcoming and horribly fail. When you walk into Sea Country, you don’t feel like you’re in a dentist office. Everything is beach-themed and the chairs are high-backed beautiful pieces that make it feel like you’re in a living room. The staff is extremely friendly and each make you feel like you are the most important person they’ve seen all day while still making you feel human. My dental hygienist is chatty and good at distracting me from the unpleasantness of the cleaning. The owner replaced some of the ceiling tiles with back-lit images of the ocean so when you’re sitting in the chair, you look straight up at the beach. Thankfully I haven’t had to experience any of their services beyond a cleaning, but if they are as attentive to those services as they are to the rest of the visit, you can expect good results. Great experience and dentists.
I started with Dr Hugh Murray and Sea Country dental when my dentist of 20 years retired. Dr Murray and the staff are professional and do great work. Being an insurance broker that specializes in health insurance, I have found the Sea Country Dental is honest and does not overcharge. Plus the work is outstanding.. 5 STARS!!!
I HATE going to the dentist - mostly for the pain in my wallet. But, I never leave Sea Country Dental without a smile on my face. Not only is the care excellent, their prices are fair. The last two times I was there they figured out minimal low cost treatment options for me. They are like a - no - ARE a family with longtime staff stability. I have been going there for at least 18 years.
Very pleasant visit as always. Cheryl friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable is an excellent hygienist. I met Dr Moshrefi who will be my new dentist, as I learned that Dr Murray is retiring. The office is run efficiently. You can confirm an appointment by email, phone or text.
I have never had so much fun in a dentist's office. These are wonderful people who want you to feel comfortable and to let you know that you will be well-taken care of. It was a wonderful experience.
Very disappointed that the dentist did not follow through the last time I was there with a referral she suggested. Did not like the dental assistant today. She seemed to have a need to compete and be somewhat argumentative. The dental work has been excellent, and otherwise do like the dentist and other staff.
