The owner/manager took advantage of my older parents when they bought their snow blower by talking them into an “extended warranty” for over $300. The snow blower was delivered broken and unusable. They reported the damage immediately, however here we are, five months later, and they have received nothing but avoidance and excuses as to why the item has not been repaired. I drove 4 hours today to try and sort this issue out for them. I received several different stories. The first was parts shortages - despite the fact that there was another snow blower of the same model on display. When I pointed out that they had the part sitting in the window, I was then told that some third party service technician could choose to make that repair. So why hasn’t it happened? He had no answer and seemed completely indifferent. I actually work in warranty services. I’m aware of “parts shortages,” however in this case we were able to look up the part number and order the part from husqvarna for a whopping $6.50. This is not something my parents would have been able to do without assistance - that’s what the warranty was for. There is no parts shortage. This business simply gave my parents a broken machine and pocketed not only the cost of the damaged machine but an extra $300 for a warranty that is not and will not be honored. Complaints will be opened with any and all agencies necessary. Do NOT spend your money in this store.
Elliot and Taden were very helpful. Definitely the nicest crew in Hays. I was in the middle of a home move and didn't have the proper equipment to move my appliances. They allowed me to rent an appliance dolly at a very reasonable rate. Great store with a great workforce.
I love this place! The customer service is excellent, and that’s what keeps me coming back! The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly, and I feel like they all care about me as a customer, especially the gentlemen who delivered my appliances. Professional, courteous, and hardworking, they did a fantastic job!
Purchased a new gas stove and it was delivered a week ago. Unfortunately I haven’t even been able to use it. Wasn’t informed that the orifices needed switched out for propane, and since it has been delivered, Sears will not do anything to help me.
Had an issue that the regional manager stuck with until it was totally resolved. Very impressed with Erica who was extremely awesome making my over all experience with Sears Hometown Store a positive one in the end. Thank You.
Very helpful! Great customer service! For being pretty naive about appliances, these guys really helped me find the perfect appliances and all within a GREAT budget! Definitely recommend!
The employees were very friendly and helpful! I was very satisfied with how clean the store was and how much knowledge they had. I will continue to shop with Sears they make it so easy and smooth.
We bought a washer and dryer set and new dishwasher and love it!!! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Definitely recommend stopping by and checking out all the deals they have.
Grandson bought a trimmer June 4th it broke June 10th here it is July 3rd they say still waiting on parts. I asked for an exchange they said no. on the ticket it says 45 days 2 exchange.grandson had to buy another trimer to get by since he has over 30 yards to do. This puts him in a big bind trying to make money to go to college. He took my advice going to Sears the best mower I ever had was from this same store I guess he made a mistake. Sad,........... I will update if we ever get the tremor back it will probably be snowing by then. I have an update the BART came in I was able to pick up the trimmer on July 6th it was under warranty ran like a top when we got home hopefully it will stay in there as long as my mower I bought there thanks for the service
The person on the phone was very courteous and helpful. Sad to know Sears does not have service in the area but he gave me local options!
