Store closing sale is going on...almost half of the store is empty...offering a discount about 60-75% on the price.... Almost many categories are completely sold out..
First of all there are only 3 register stations on the whole first floor during the holiday season. Lands End & Jewelry “can’t” assist anyone with purchases even though there are no customers. The register in the garden/tool section only had 3 people in line. The second person in line had a return so the customer service associate told them to go find the correct item to return. Then she stood there waiting for them to return instead of helping the next customer in line. By now there are 6 of us in line waiting to check out. After about 2 minutes I asked if she could assist the gentleman in front of me who only had 2 items & she said no because the couple who was looking for the item to exchange had been waiting in line first. We waited about 5 minutes for the couple to return and she could have easily assisted at least one other person during that time. All I can assume is that either you have a poor customer service policy or poor training or both. I have been a loyal customer for many years but will most likely not return due to the poor service I received.
We decided to use Sears to repair our dishwasher because of their reputation for fairness. Their web site shows the service charge as $59.95. It also stated that this $59.95 would be deducted from parts and labor of the final bill. When the repairman checked our dishwasher he found that it worked perfectly. There was nothing wrong with it. He was at our home less than twenty minutes. Our total charge was $149.95, I asked him about deducting the $59.95 he told me it had already been deducted. I was told I would be emailed a final invoice, so far I've received nothing. I do know my credit card has been charged $149.00 by Sears
Worst customer service department I've EVER had to deal with.!!! Don't buy any appliances at sears. It started by not being able to get the washer I really wanted because it would take 3 weeks, then the comparable model was installed wrong. The machine shook. It took 5 phone calls to get someone out here just to tell me the machine is defective. The first customer service rep told me someone was coming Sunday to level the machine. Really-5 different phone calls, and was hung up on when asked to speak to a manager. When my husband called, they wouldn't let him speak to manager. Every time he asked for a manager the rep would change our service to a later date!!!! Seriously...? An hour later, when he finally talked to a manager she explained their automated system wouldn't schedule anything until two days later. Really, with the all the technology, they can't figure this out. FYI, the customer service dept can't call the third party delivery drivers. They can only contact a dispatcher, whom apparently doesn't actually have to forward any information or schedule anything per Sears request. Then they can also change the delivery/service to another day without informing you. I wouldn't chance having to go through the system. A week later I am still unable to do my laundry.
I purchased 3 work shirts at Sears on July 5th. Like all of us, I have been very busy and finally had a moment to stop in and return or exchange them. I was told it was past 30 days and they would not be able to help me. I then asked for a manager and discussed with him the years of loyalty I have had with Sears. My garage is full of Craftsman Tools. I bought my washer and dryer recently at Sears. Well after our discussion, I left the shirts with the manager and walked out. Maybe that is why the store in El Cajon is empty? Wow, I am very surprised.
I shop here quite often and have no difficulties with customer service or prices. Yes they have worked on my car before and no they did not overcharge and we're very efficient in the time it took. Because I am quite capable of helping myself with finding what I need I see no sense giving a bad rating to this establishment. It's simply a fantastic place to find quality merchandise at a reasonable price
I went to Sears with the intention of purchasing a new mattress. Of course, on the way, I stopped to look at some other things. I was not too happy about being able to circle the entire upper level without seeing an entire employee. Once found, they were very friendly and helpful. Once I got to the mattresses, I was assisted by Hali. She was a wealth of knowledge. She totally understood my needs and was able to give me, keep me focused and arrive to my own decision. She was in no way pushy, annoying or impatient. It was a relief to have her help me make the best decision for my needs. She is a rare find, well worth making this anyone's choice for a new mattress purchase!
First off no one picks the phone when calling. Second I supposedly earned points for a purchase but the points never materialized. Called the "Shop Your Way" number just to tell me I have 0 points, even though I have an email from them saying otherwise. The explanation given made absolutely NO SENSE! Why even have this ridiculous "point system" when they are not even going to honor it? I regret buying anything there. Amazon is the way seems like. I would give zero stars if I could.
Worst customer service. Rude employees. Completely unwilling to rectify my request to exchange a $900 toolbox that was sold to me with an issue, only to find out it’s a brand new toolbox with DISCONTINUED PARTS. It took a week to get a call back. And I was told I’d have to return my item and wait for another one to be shipped. Not to mention being directed back and forth getting the runaround between their online and in store customer service. Good luck dealing with this place. Too bad google doesn’t offer 0 stars. I would have given that rating.
Today I had a service appt for my heating/air conditioning. I've been waiting 2 weeks. My appt was between 1-5. Justin came at 11:30, since he was available early and but since I wasn't there, he left. I called at 12:30, spoke to Benjamin, a supervisor and he told me that since I wasn't there, the appt was cancelled, regardless of the time I was told. It is their policy to cancel the appt, if the client is not home. This is not right. So I will no longer be dealing with Sears and I suggest everyone sit at home all day.....the appt time is "just an estimate."
