ENGINE 20
Engine 20 is a 2008 E-One Commercial Cab International pumper. It has a 1000 gallon tank with a 1260 GPM Hale pump. This vehicle was obtained to replace the original Engine 20 that was lost in a wreck. This new engine is compliant to all 2008 specifications. Engine 20 carries a full compliment of 1000' 5" large diameter hose as well as a backup supply of 200' 3" supply/attack hose. This also allows us to hook up to engines for neighboring departments to support mutual aide agreements. This truck also carries ladders, ppv fan, foam, and various tools that are needed to respond to a structure fire. In addition this truck carries extrication and stabilization equipment needed to respond to a motor vehicle accident.
RESCUE 20
Rescue 20 is a 2007 4 wheel drive Rosenbauer Urban Interface Body on an International chassis. It has a 500 gallon tank with a 750 GPM waterous pump. This vehicle also has a 30 gallon foam cell for use with its foam eduction system. This truck carries saws and equipment needed for fighting both structural and wildland fire. It is the primary response vehicle for wildland fires and the 2nd due engine on any structure fire. This truck was acquired from a F.E.M.A. grant for Volunteer Fire Departments.
SERVICE 20
Service 20 is a 2014 International Terrastar with a RKI service body. This vehicle carries a compliment of saws, cutting torch, ppv fan, generator, additional scene lights, extra hoses, and spare SCBA bottles. This vehicle is also set up to run medical calls. Service 20 is the 3rd truck to roll to any structure fire. It also is used to run motor vehicle accidents.
Brush 20
Brush 20 is a 2007 4 wheel drive Ford F-450 powered by a 6.0L PowerStroke Turbo Diesel. This truck has a Hale pump skid unit with a 250 gallon tank. It also carries rakes, shovels, flappers, and other tools needed for fighting wildland fires. This truck can be used as a 1st or 2nd due truck to any wildland fire depending on the size and location of the fire. This truck also has a 12K pound winch which can be used to help clear roads for emergency response during inclement weather.
Medic 20: THIS VEHICLE IS BEING UTILIZED BY SEGER'S FIRE AND RESCUE IN COOPERATION WITH H.E.M.S.I. TO BETTER SERVE OUR NEIGHBORS IN THE SOUTH EAST LIMESTONE COUNTY AREA. THIS AREA IS COVERED BY H.E.M.S.I. (HUNTSVILLE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, INC.) AMBULANCE AND THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED AT THE SEGER'S STATION TO FACILITATE A MORE RAPID RESPONSE TO MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. H.E.M.S.I. MAINTAINS ALL THE EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND FUEL FOR THIS VEHICLE IN ORDER TO ALLOW THE EMT STAFF AT SEGER'S FIRE AND RESCUE TO BETTER SERVE OUR COMMUNITY. WE WANT TO THANK JON HOWELL AND DON WEBSTER AT H.E.M.S.I. FOR ALL THE SUPPORT THEY HAVE GIVEN US AND OUR COMMUNITY. MANY LIVES HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT.
Responder 20
Responder 20 is a 2011 4 wheel drive Ford F-150 XL. Reponders primary use is a more rapid response running medical calls while limiting the wear and tear on our other vehicles. Responder 20 is also used to help move personnel and equipment to and from scenes.
Command 20
Command 20 is a 2012 4 wheel drive Ford-F-150 XL. Command 20 functions much the same as Responder 20 with its primary goal being responding to medical calls. Command 20 can also be used as a command post on any emergency scene.
