I delivered my son last week at Sentara Princess Anne, and wanted to make sure people knew their maternity staff is absolutely wonderful! Everybody who was in the operating room for my cesarean, to our wonderful team of nurses in recovery and mother/baby, as well as our IBCLC lactation consultation postpartum--everybody was kind, compassionate, and provided amazing care to our family. We were very blessed by Anne, Carmelita, Mary, Karen. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and the dining staff were great too. We would be glad to come back for our delivery of any future babies!
I had to spend four days in the Intermediate Medical Care, 3rd floor. I was treated with the utmost care and compassion. My nurses checked on me to make sure I was comfortable, they genuinely cared about me. My surgical team was gentle, professional, and so concerned about how I was feeling every step of the way. I'm home now, thanks to every single member of that staff!
My mom had some serious health issues and Sentara Virginia Beach and Sentara Princess Anne hospitals were amazing. The hospital Physicians, Nurses, Aides, Food Services, Emergency Room Specialists, Administration, Information Desks, Discharge/Placement Specialists, Hospice Advisors, the Cleaning Staffs, the Gift Store, etc. were amazing. Everyone was so talented and professional and caring about our issues. It makes me teary eyed now. We are so fortunate to have such amazing medical help in this area. Many thanks to all that touched our lives and made our stays and mom's continuing recovery possible!! Much love to all!
Went for testing. Was unable to obtain an appointment at a closer location for over a month away. Was given an appointment for a Sunday afternoon at 5pm. Pleasantly surprised. Registration was very friendly and quick. Taken back very quickly even though I was a bit early. Technician was pleasant and professional. A little issue with headphones that was quickly resolved. Test completed and car parked right across from entrance door.
SPAH was Code Red when I arrived when I thought I had a heart attack; i did. There were a crazy number of patients waiting for help, you can only expect so much from the doctors, nurses and technicians when the sick swarm and they gave 1000% I arrived about 2:45pm and was in a room by midnight. Am I going to complain about how long it took? Nope. I'm going to tell you how grateful I am to the friendly, never complaining, on-the-ball staff that kept right on pushing through. These folks aren't just medical, the Sentara bureaucracy has them being computer techs and paper junkies while saving lives! Thank you to the best damn ER staff a sick person could ever be blessed to need.
I took my mother to the ER, and there was no check-in desk. There were people grabbing a clipboard from a stand, so I grabbed one, then went to the desk in the middle of the room to ask what we’re supposed to do. The two people wouldn’t even acknowledge me standing there. I asked a nurse what the check-in procedure was, and he said to fill out the form, then have a seat, and they’ll come around and get vitals. So I went to take my mom to sit down and another woman told me I had to wait in line, and escorted us back in line. They were just asking who’s next, so the dishonest people went to the seats and said they were next, even though they came in after us. One of the nurses didn’t even ask who was next. She saw a woman sitting in a wheel chair and took her vitals and checked her in, and she came in after us. The waiting room quickly went from 5 people to 15, and there were only 3 people in line in front of me when I got there. They continued to just help who was standing near them, so we left. It’s ridiculous not to have a check in procedure at an emergency room!! Don’t go here unless you have no choice!
The staff at the maternity center at Princess Anne hospital was amazing. They helped make things easy for such a special moment. They were patient with us and very helpful not only with health care but the information on everything we asked. We are so happy to have such an amazing staff. Credit to the cafeteria is needed as well, the food was delicious.
I gave birth to my twins at this hospital. Nurse Kari in the mother and baby unit is phenomenal!!!! We loved her so much and you can tell she truly cares about you and your family. If you are lucky enough to have her you are in great hands!
This hospital killed my grandmother. The staff are worthless. They have zero empathy for the patients they are supposed to be caring for. They have no idea what they are doing. After they “treated” my grandmother, which killed her, they sent a card to our house thanking us for letting them provide the “quality care and treatment for our family”. Do not take your loved one to this hospital, you will never see them again.
The E.R. was jam packed and I’d been rear ended in a car accident the night before Election Day 2022 and was given excellent care from their hard working, courteous, medical care team. I’m not certain if we’re allowed to give the staff members names in reviews however, I kept the names to put in the hospital survey. I’d recommend them highly.
