Park could use some tlc. Big pot holes in the ground which is a safety concern for the little kids. Play structure isn’t that big to play on, especially if a family is using the bbq area, not a lot of parking. Stop light doesn’t work. My least favorite park in union city/Hayward
Well maintained and clean park. Not very crowded. Picnic area and restroom is available and nearby. Play area is very nice with swings and slides. Park is open from 8 am till 30 mins before sunset. Outdoor play area is big. This park also has a basketball court. My kid loved the small cars which are attached to springs. Overall a great experience.
I like how secluded this park is, it's never packed with a bunch of people which is nice sometimes so I can let my dog run around freely and dont have to keep super close track on my nephews cuz there's not a bunch of other kids/families. I like that they have bathrooms with water fountains, a basketball court, BBQ pits, tables, a baseball area, a playground and a huge field. The parking lot isn't ever full either.
Great place. Not very convenient for strollers though.
Open and out of the wind from the east bay. Hidden gem in the hills of East Union City. Great for parties or to have picnics/lunch.
Amazing view!
Nice quiet place. Plenty of things to do, it has a basketball court, standard volleyball pole, and a place to practice baseball. Fun place for any occasion. It has 1 big bbq pit and 2 small ones. A lot of shaded area, just bring a mat or blanket. Parking is limited. Enjoy!
Bring your hot wheels and a broom. There is a car track that you can push the cars down and "race" them but the track normally had leaves on it. A quick brush and you're good to go. It's definitely a hidden gem of a park.
AMBULATORY DISABLED FOLKS NOTE: This has a lot of great grassy place for frisbee or for kids to run, the playground is pretty cool with a car theme and along the back concrete wall, hot wheels / matchbox scaled race track that is really awesome. However, I think it's really important to know that the wheelchair access is very poor here, the bumpy slope down from the parking lot is very steep, and a flat access trail also very bumpy that could make up for it has a chain across it, so if you are ambulatory enough to step over the chain you might be okay but otherwise you won't have access to the playground area. And though there is a restroom, it is sometimes locked. there is one to save parking spot near the restroom, but no trail from that to the rest of the park. Inversely, there is no disabled access trail to the restroom from the playground.
This park has so much room and I have yet to see it crowded. I spent my childhood here playing. Great picnic spot!
