Seymour library is always a nice place to go to. And today the young man at the computer desk was especially helpful. He went out of his way to help me with map printing. Thank you!!
This library is very clean and organized they have a wide selection of books, dvds and audiobooks. They offer a lot of programs for the kids too.
This has to be the most loudest speaking from the library staff . You can't fault the customers disturbing you when you trying to focus on reading material or taking a vital test for employment when staff themselves do not set an example. They continue to have loud conversations at the circulation desk. Staff is very resourceful but need to do better in giving the patrons a real library experience by keeping there voices to a minimum.
Great staff, very friendly. Easy to navigate. Nice kids area, with a cool room for storytime. Smaller library, so they don't have quite the selection the bigger libraries have. But they have most of the popular titles. I go here weekly and know some of the staff by name. It's a great small town library.
The kindness of the folks who helped me today was wonderful. I can't thank Nancy enough or the girl at the desk. I apologize that I didn't get her name.
Staff is always helpful and have a great selection of media available.
Nancy was very helpful and very kind. Great experience.
My 2 year old son and I have been going to storytime at the library for a few months. Due to covid there are not a lot of social opportunities available for 2 year olds. Despite the boring book choices by the children's librarian, we continued to go since my son has ASD and we want him to work on social interactions. He has therapy 3 times a week and the storytime at Seymour aligned well with his schedule. Recently, the library announced a mask mandate for kids 3 and up. Again my son is 2! My son went to the library with grandma and he was asked to wear a mask or leave. He chose to leave. There was only one other child in the large children's section, yet he was still asked to leave. I contacted the county library about this policy, since my son has sensory issues and hardly ever will wear a mask. I then received an email from the librarian saying she thought he was 3- even though my MIL told her he was 2. No apology just a long lecture about COVID and an acknowledgement about how they are only enforcing masks for 3 and up. She said we are welcome to come but also recommended we just do curbside pickup. It really saddens me that my son's disability prevents him from keeping a mask on and he is discouraging from going to the library. We will not be returning to this branch.
Super nice facility with spaces for all ages including dedicated children’s room, teen and young adult space as well as private rooms and plenty of seating. Wide selection of print and electronic media. Atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Need more print books in your philosophy section!
Seymour library is a great home town library. Staff are kind and very helpful. They also have great free programs for kids and adults to enjoy.
