The waves are huge. Black sand & lots of big rocks. Very peaceful. 1st time visit on a Monday afternoon & not crowded at all. Parking was easy & close to beach. Pier is beautiful. Picnic tables & bench areas. Lots of birds & seagulls. Walking trails lead to mori point
Sand here is black, with coarse grains. The pier here is good for fishing crabs, and the trail is flat, firm, and good for walking dogs. The waves on the beach are big though, so watch your dogs and children.
Sharp Park Beach was interesting to check out. I had a peaceful walk near the shoreline and enjoyed seeing the crows. The weather on this particular day was overcast but it complimented the dark sand well.
Great place for beautiful little hike!!! My four year old can do it!!! But please keep an eye on your child!!! I have a backpack with a cable connection!!! My son has special needs!!! I love coming here all the time!!! Just a very special place!!!!!
Great views if you’re lucky enough to find a parking spot. Lots of people walking their dogs and eating outdoors on the cement picnic tables. The beach isn’t great itself though. Dark hard sand and the water is very rough. Great for fishing and surfing though.
A great dog friendly beach where the sand is more dark and corse, which we liked! Definitely a unique beach! The weather can be volatile depending on the season so be sure to bring layers, especially with the wind! Also, the pier is right next to the beach and you can go out and watch sea lions and the waves on the pier!
The promenade is a great place to walk along the water. The walkway is paved and wide. Be aware that the waves often crash over the railing. They can be huge. The water will soak you and sometimes knock kids over. Be careful!
Excellent place to enjoy the sun, not that crowded and easy to pass the morning. The pebbles are so small that you might need a slippers, kinda windy and tends to get cold so bring a jacket. The sun is hard so a umbrella helps.
It's a great walk. I took my dog today and loved it. There's a nice area for a good hike just south at Mori Point.
