Surrounded by towering trees that block out the noise, Sheltered Nook creates a peaceful sanctuary where folks can relax.
Sheltered Nook features six uniquely-themed tiny homes. Each tiny home has only 385-square-feet of living space. The tiny homes are fully furnished with locally-made furniture, a TV, and all the cooking utensils you may need during your stay.
Dee and Hank even like to stock the cupboards with food and baking supplies. While tiny homes have become a trend for millennials, these tiny tiny homes are perfect for families, couples, and anyone interested in a thoughtful and
respectful way of life. We cater to cyclists, hikers, kayakers, fishermen and outdoor adventurers.
Each tiny home boasts the same designer layout with a different theme. Themes include The Gardener, Beach Comber, The Birder, Mermaids, Gone Fishin’ and a sixth cabin on its way in May.
Sheltered Nook is located in the middle of the Tillamook Coast, making it a perfect spot to rest while you explore the many attractions of the area. Whether you’re looking for great fishing, kayaking, hiking, or family adventures they are all within reach of Sheltered Nook. We raise chickens, ducks and turkeys. Fresh eggs are always available.
Kilchis Point Reserve is only 400 feet from our driveway. This is an area where our guests will find beautiful trails for a leisurely walk or a good hike to Tillamook Bay. Dogs are always welcome at Kilchis Point Reserve.
Just 300 yards from the house is Tillamook Bay. Across the Bay you can see BayOcean spit. Bay City is less then a mile away. Garibaldi is 4 miles north and Tillamook is 4 miles South.
The Wave is our local bus line. It runs from Tillamook north to Cannon Beach and south to Lincoln City. Twice daily The Wave travels to Portland. The Wave is part of the Coastal Connector system -- Leave your car and take the bus and your bike.
For cyclists - there is a small repair it yourself bike shop on site. If you need parts and contact us ahead of your arrival we will be happy to order the parts for you. We also have a large covered area for drying out gear, tents, etc. Bike storage can also be provided.
Pets are always welcome. We have an outside pet bath (with hot water) and dog towels available for our guests who are sharing their vacation with their 4 legged companion.
