Love it here! So much to do here. Camping, fishing, ice fishing, boating all sorts of fun stuff if you know how to have a good time!
Place is super chill. Here’s your boat, have fun. Way cheaper than other lakes, plus the lake is way cool. Lots of beautiful places.
Had a great time, great speakers on the boat! Caught some fish, swam in the lake, got some good sun and got back to nature. They have upgraded a lot of the pontoons recently and it improved the experience drastically!
Rented a pontoon boat for the day and had a great time. I have very little boating experience and they were informative and showed me everything I need to do. They were also helpful with finding places to fish. The store has a good selection of food, drinks, fishing gear and clothes. It’s expensive but that is to be expected since the nearest town is back down the mountain. The staff were friendly and informative. I look forward to coming back again.
Love the peace and tranquillity of this place with modern conveniences. Clean rooms with the best working mini fridge I’ve ever encountered. It froze my large OJ I put in the little freezer part overnight, which is amazing. And my husband and toddler really appreciated all the channels available so they had their comfort from home. The lake is beautiful and being able to rent a slip to keep our boat out on the water is a major convenience. We definitely will be back.
We love going to Strawberry every year, and we always rent one of their pontoon boats at Strawberry Bay Marina. They always do an excellent job, taking care of us and giving us a good quality boat to take out and they have great service, and an excellent staff! I always recommend to my friends, and that is the best way to experience fishing and a fun time on Strawberry reservoir.
Great CAFE..PERFECT VIEW OF LAKE while enjoying my lunch. Bacon, cheese, hamburger with a fried egg on top, side of FRESH sweet potato fries. PERFECT AFTERNOON
We had a wonderful time. It was beautiful lake. Amazing views!!! Will for sure do this again. The only reason I gave it 4 starts out of 5 is for a few things that did not go well. Things I will check next time before we take the boat out. Make sure the life jackets are in the boat and they are clean we had only two moldy ones on the boat. Next time we will take our own life jackets because the ones they finally gave us were very uncomfortable. The Bluetooth did not work and they could not fix it. The gears had duck tape on there so was difficult to find neutral. I wish the boat would be a little cleaner under seats was full of dirty water. But we made it work and had a great time. I do have to also say that all staff were super nice and helpful. We are ready for next time.
This was our second time staying at Strawberry Bay Lodge. We are always impressed with how clean the rooms are and the beds are so comfy it’s like staying in a 5 star hotel. My only suggestion would be to leave a few more towels in each room. Other than that we absolutely love staying here and will continue to do so. Our boat rental was ok this time they are always so friendly so it wasn’t a big issue but the first boat we rented the canopy was already broken so we couldn’t open it for sun coverage but then a storm blew in and completely blew it down we had to dock our boat and they were so nice to quickly switch us into another boat. The weather never settled so we never made it back out on the other boat but it was the fact that they were just so nice and friendly about it and wanted to make sure we were taken care of.
To be honest I’m not very happy with my experience. I reserved a boat for all day. I picked it up and the staff was friendly there were no issues at that point. The weather was fine at first. Then after a couple hours, no more than 4hrs it got bad. The wind picked up and made the water VERY choppy and dangerous for both my family and the integrity of the boat. Pontoons aren’t built for 2ft swells. So I turned the boat back in after having paid for an entire day and only using part of it. I told the lady behind the counter about the weather and she didn’t even attempt to offer any reimbursement or allow us to reschedule the rest of the day that we had already paid for. Now I know their policy is no cancellations due to weather….and at the beginning of the experience the weather was fine…but halfway through the day it turned bad so you would think out of respect and plain good customer service they would have offered something to make our experience better. I will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend renting anything from them unless you like to waste money. The one star is for the boys on the dock, they were very polite and respectful. ** I did check the weather before making my reservation and at that time the weather was fine. Also, the weather “forecast” is a prediction not a guarantee….so either way it’s not a guarantee to what type of weather is going to happen that day. Which is why you made the policy you made so you can screw people out of $600 a day for a ran down old pontoon boat. I’ll spend my money elsewhere next time…thanks for bad experience.
