Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach is a great spot for public beach access for a day trip from Orlando. It’s an easy drive and perfect spot to get your beach fix. - Only an hour from Orlando - The Beach offers 300+ paid public parking spots, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, and a lifeguard stand. - Walking distance from restaurants & RonJon if you’re renting boards. - Sand. Surf. Sun. Fun. Need I say more?
Rented an umbrella, 2 chairs, and a beach cart for $10 each from Ron Jons and got free parking. Totally worth it!! The park has $20/day parking but you can't leave and come back. Great beach access. Right by a life guard stand and the guards are super nice! The park has free restrooms and showers.
This is the place to go if you want to spend some time at Cocoa Beach and your visiting from outside the area. We came and didn’t really have any Beach stuff at all. That being said Ron Jon’s is just a stones throw away from this part of Cocoa Beach where you can purchase anything that you need. Plus Ron Jon’s has free parking for their customers. Their parking lot sits right next to the Shepard Park parking lot that you have to pay for. Once you get to the beach there are vendors that will also rent to you anything you could possible need including surf boards, boogie boards, large umbrellas and chairs, etc. they are quite affordable as well. I mean $10 for a boogie board for 3 hours.
Nice. Clean! Not that busy. More people than parked cars. Wonder how they got there!! You can see Cape Canaveral. Would be fun to watch rocket launches!
Awesome beach. Awesome rentals through Latch. Beautiful sand, beautiful water, beautiful area. A must if in the area
Clean and calm. Went in the late morning expecting a crowd but was pleasantly surprised when there wasn't one. Great views and the birds and people were friendly.
Super nice beach and not crowded. The facilities and area seem a little outdated, but the beach and ocean was great fun.
Awesome beach! Umbrella and lounge chair rental near by and reasonable. Clean and nice area. Seaweed was a bit heavy near shore line, but not so much a little further out. Spent the day enjoying the coastal breeze and the awesome waves with family!
This park is a great place to visit the beach. There are lifeguards here and restrooms. There is a fee to park, but it is worth the amenities!
Nice beach, lots of sea shells for the kids to pick up. Restrooms: Outside and inside showers, you didn't have to bring sand home.
