I'm a fairly frequent visitor to this KOA, last year I did a cabin on one stay and a tent site on another stay. This year I did a pull through camper site. Previous years I've done pull through camper sites but that was under different owners. The grounds are well kept and clean. The bathroom/showers are in desperate need of updates but they were clean and usable. The office has been nicely rearranged and updated making the check-in flow go smoother than in the past. The store has all the necessities that may be needed or forgotten. Staff was friendly and I really like the new wagon camps, maybe I'll reserve that for my next stay... They are pet friendly and have a pet area away from the main entrance although I haven't traveled with my pup since the new owners took over, I did check it out for future plans. They have quite a few activities on the grounds including a swimming pool and what looked like a panning trough I didn't spend a lot of time at the KOA during my visit
Excellent KOA! Super friendly and helpful staff. Super clean facility. Plenty of showers, including a wheelchair accessible one. Plenty of washers and dryers. The grounds were immaculate. The pool was decent sized. But the staff there, can't tell you how amazing they were. We were there cuz our truck broke down on our way from Montana to Pennsylvania in Sheridan. We stayed at tent site while the truck got fixed. Had to, couldn't afford a hotel. But it was an awesome stay!
I van camped here so that's why I'm not giving rooms or service any ratings. the staff was nice, but I really wouldn't say they serviced us except for a fundraising pancake breakfast on Saturday morning - pancakes were very good. the only drawback I experienced is, just before dark, the mosquitoes became relentless. I used mosquito repellent on my arms, but they attacked my face and my neck many times. The next morning 8/13/23 I woke up with five mosquito bites on my arms. maybe the mosquitoes here are immune to it. Park is very clean, I think they clean the restrooms a couple of times everyday as they are always spotless, but the women's restroom doesn't have any ventilation and even late in the evening or early in the morning it's very humid in there. There is a swimming pool here which was very nice yesterday when the weather was in the mid-80s.
A very well run KOA! I stayed in a cabin, and my pet and I had lots of fun exploring and chasing a bunny or two. Service is friendly and efficient, and the cabin was super clean. The pool was nice, too.Rooms: 5/5
Super duper family friendly!!! Loved my spot! So lucky, #123. End spot and a shade tree in the morning for packing up. They also have an awesome shirt/sweatshirt assortment….whoever does your buying got it right! I loved the texts about the ice cream social AND pancake breakfast. Unfortunately not dairy/gluten free friendly so I didn’t partake. But cute idea for sure. The women’s shower room leaves much to be desired though. Is there really only one for the whole campground? I read the map multiple times and only came up with one, by the front office? A couple of easy adjustments would make the restrooms better: 1 put $10 hanging from the shower head caddy’s in each shower stall. There’s no place to put our shower items!?! That’s just no good. 2 add paper towels. The sink vanity area was soaked with water and no way to wipe it down to use the counters. 3 I only had piping hot or screaming cold water for 10+ min what a waste finally leveled out, or I figured it out maybe signs on how each shower works would be helpful - because it’s not follow the H and C as it’d make showers shorter. They were all full In all honestly the shower rooms need to be redone, but until that happens,
We pulled in today for a 2 night stay and if we didn't already have reservations in South Dakota, we would be extending our stay here. The grounds are beautiful, so much grass and a creek with a bike path right next to the park. The complete staff has been so welcoming and accommodating, one of our favorite parks by far.Service: 5/5
Very clean, well stocked store. Staff is very nice. Decent amount of trees, and a small river/creek runs along the side. If you’re very noise sensitive I would ask for a site further away from interstate.
Highly recommend! Our family 4 Adults and a Toddler pulled in for a short, one night stay as we passed through. Super easy check-in. Clean, well kept bathrooms, showers, and grounds.
The people were incredibly nice. They had an ice cream social to raise money for something. They had a ping pong table and a nice little store. The only “issue” was that there must have been a lot of rain because all the sites had puddles and the mosquitos were rampant.Rooms: 3/5
Nice KOA, just overnight stay for us. It rained that night, and we seemed to have a low spot in the campground, making hooking up messy. Maybe some more gravel in those areas would be helpful.Service: 5/5
