Sheriffs Department

Sheriffs, Sgrts, and the chief are all are very unprofessional and a bunch of liars. If your Hispanic you are not welcomed here. Don’t waste your time and money applying here. They abuse of their authority. It’s a chain that each other cover each other’s back. They hire Hispanics just to say they are an equal opportunity employer making your life miserable and making you quit. I honestly haven’t seen any Hispanic Sheriffs, or Srgt working here but maybe one Hispanic lady. The internal affairs should really get involved and conduct an investigation on this Sheriffs Department. They can’t continue with this ignorance and harming families promising false job titles that they won’t receive. They aren’t just lying to the applicant but his whole family who are depending on this job title. I honestly don’t know why they think they could do what ever they want . Internal affairs should really consider evaluating this department and making sure they are running this department to the proper standards.

Elkhart County Sheriff Sargent Joe stopped to help us with a blown tire. He did his best after he tried to use our jack that came with the car but it wasn't working. So Sargent Joe called for backup from Brian from the Sheriffs' garage. These two worked to get us out-of-towners back on the road. WE REALLY APPRECIATE THEIR HELP. THANKS SO VERY MUCH. Joe loved our traveling companions, Babe and Bandit, dogs.

The back seat of the squad car was too little for me but, the staff at the jail were very friendly. They even gave me a mat to sleep on 10/10 would get arrested again.

They need to have meals dinscent, a the woman's pots healthier hygiene, it's nasty..

This is the best sheriff's department in the world. They do everything in their power to protect and serve even when their lives are in danger

I don't like this place.it is dirty and the water fountain is nasty.the bathrooms look like they haven't cleaned them since 1920
