If I could give this 0 stars I would. My mother got the worst care here she was very sick and waited 2 hours to get a bed and was told after she got a bed that it would be another 2 hour wait. She barely got any better and they sent her home. It was ridiculous. Some of the worst care that I have ever seen. You would be better off going to Guilford clinic, or even the hospital. Something needs to change. This clinic has gone way down hill.
This place is ridiculous been here with my daughter for hours there is very few people here. The Dr sees her and leave her in a room for 3 hours with no contact with any nurses or Dr waiting. Absolutely ridiculous . The funny part is I just heard a add on the radio fro a woman who is Vice President asking nurses to join their wonderful team. What a joke
My mother went here this morning and they treated her horribly. Didn’t even offer her a blanket and she was in so much pain. When I called to talk to the supervisor, he was so extremely rude and then I found out that he wasn’t even the supervisor it was just one of the assistance who did her vitals and pretended he was a supervisor. It is not my mothers fault that they have to work on Christmas, but they treated her so badly and made her wait forever. She finally left and went to a different place. She went to Yale in Guilford and they treated her so well. I would have given them zero stars, but that wasn’t an option.
worst experience i ever had in an emergency, if u have a loved one who is in a lot of pain do not go here! No bed side manner or empathy!! Had to leave and go to Yale emergency in guilford, very caring, no waiting and rooms filled! amazing!!
I went in last night Tuesday, at around 6PM and everything went smoothly and everyone was quite comprehensive. I appreciate the care from Xray, to EKG, to blood cultures, to the entire experience and Dr McGuire was a pleasure to talk to and deal with- gave options for treatment at end. The whole experience, although I was not in the best shape going in, was handled quite well. Thank you.
If you have breathing issues, and your vitals are normal, they won't do any further testing. I came back for the second time this weekend for labored breathing and Dr. Antman assured me that I did not need any bloodwork or further evaluation. The first day he covid tested me and told me it was likely anxiety, and today he said it could be anything but not anything serious enough to look for. Advised me that it would "Do more harm to go looking, because we will find something" What does that even mean? Refused D-Dimer testing due to probability of false positive with me having a previous +ANA via PCP, and how he would be obligated to perform a CT if I was positive. Which would expose me to radiation. I requested a patient advocate and let my nurse know that I did not consent to his current diagnosis because I felt there was more to rule out, but they denied me further care and discharged me. I have my neurology appt this week at Yale and I am getting a case worker for all of my conditions so we will see what comes of that. I let both my doctor and nurse know I felt neglected and that if concerning results came back later, I would be holding them accountable. Upon discharge, my nurse showed me the paperwork and I circled the symptoms I am having. Update: It turned out to be Slynd/drospirenone birth control, I came off of it 3 days ago. Visited Planned Parenthood for confirmation. My BP had come down, even as I was actively anxious for my appt. Goes to show how much male doctors know about women's health. I brought up concerns about my bc and blood clots, and was basically told that that medication shouldn't be causing those issues because it is progesterone based, that's what the studies show. Seems to me that doctors forget that the statistics of these studies are based off of THE PEOPLE USING THE MEDICATIONS and whether or not they REPORT THEIR SYMPTOMS TO CDC and FDA. Maybe try to pay more attention to the people than your procedures. We know our bodies more than you do. Your medical books are based on the people, not the other way around. And NO I did not "Just Google my symptoms" Not drug seeking either. FFS.
I'm new to the area and needed an Emergency room. Came in early in the morning and only one person in waiting room. Was checked in right away. The nurse took me not to long after check in. The nurse was pleasant. Was brought to a room. Sat and waited for next step. The first nurse was on top of things . The second nurse wasn't as diligent. Ordered a lot of tests. Was there a total 5 hours. Dr came in and was thorough. No major concerns with the place. Got the care I needed.
Make sure you don’t need ultrasound after 8 pm. Otherwise you will be able to wait for them to say they can’t help you. At least the staff was nice about it.
Dr.Parmelee continues to advise my 50+ father with severe sleep apnea, prediabetic, NOT to get the vaccine. He should have his medical license revoked.
Took my mom in on Saturday. We only waited 10 minutes before they called her name. The staff went above and beyond to find out what was going on with mom. We are so grateful and very pleased how nice and attentive they were. Bloodwork, fluids and a ct scan were all done efficiently to get her diagnosed.
