Shorty's BBQ

I'm not a personal fan of ribs, but my family loves the ribs here. I tried the brisket and chicken combo plate. Brisket was delicious, soft, and flavorful. It need a bit of salt, as did the chicken, but I could've had an entire plate of it. Paired it with a lemonade. Chicken was alright, had a nice charcoal crunch. Coleslaw and bread included with most meals are quite good too. Ambiance is rustic and american, food comes out in less than 5 minutes and is very very filling.

Nice to reminisce haven’t had a Shorty’s chicken sandwich in 8 years it was delicious just like I remembered love the shorty’s sauce too. Fast friendly service food was hot too Fresh fries will definitely visit again next time I come for a visit.

The restaurant is wonderful. The decorations, to the foods, they are all mostly great. The restaurant shines atmosphere wise, for its rustic vibe is absolutely incredible. The waitress was good, but not the best which is perfectly fine also. Beware though, the food can prove to be very inconsistent at times. There are some great menu items but when it comes to others they are definitely lacking. The pulled pork is absolutely delicious but the pork steak is dry and looks sad. I would definitely recommend getting as much Texas toast as you can, it is so good I wished I got a basket full of it. Fortunately, it doesn't end there, their deserts are great especially the key lime pie. Overall, the restaurant is great but there's some room for improvement, 8.5/10. Also, if you intend to bring food for your children from another restaurant they will make you throw it away. They do not allow food from other places, including fast food.

Everything was really good! We had Ribs, brisket and wings. There are better ribs places around the area. Prices are good for the amount of food, plates were huge! The best plate was the carrot cake, key lime pie was okay. Amazing service!

Food was good we really enjoyed .if I would go back? Yes can't wait it was that good. The waitress is cool she did a great job good customer service skills. I had BBQ ribs and fries. My friends had BBQ baby back ribs We all had fun ..I highly recommend...not a long waiting time for you food.

We have been regularly coming here for the past 6 years out of convenience, since we moved up from Miami, where the better ones are located. Food wise: This Shorty’s is probably the worst of the group. The ribs are unpredictable. Sometimes they are OK, other times they are mediocre, and sometimes they are just horrible. A chain like this should not be this unstable with their product. Service wise: The servers were fine and host was nice, but there is a great lack of common sense from the person running the place Manager Rob. We had a party of 10 and were seated. After ordering, the two kids in our party wanted ice cream. Unfortunately, Shorty’s doesn’t sell ice cream. Well, to keep the kids happy, one of the adults took the kids to the BK that was right there and bought them ice cream. When they got back, they were not let into the restaurant because they had two ice creams from somewhere else. They made them throw out the ice cream or eat it outside. This was just ridiculous. I understand if company policy is to not let outside food in, so as not to provide an eating area for someone with food from another establishment. But if you have a large party of 10 and two small kids 4 & 7 want ice cream and you DON’t SELL ICE CREAM, a very common and popular item with kids, you let it go. It’s not the kids fault you don’t sell the item. But apparently, common sense is not something the franchise requires from their managers. Had we not started eating yet, we would have gotten up and left. After today, our regular customer status has expired, at least until better management comes along.

This place use to be good years ago, didn’t taste the same. Portions are ok, you get two small pieces of chicken and 4 ribs. They just give you a big portion of fries which is disappointing. Honestly your better off just going to the location because Doordash charges a few for everything you try to add and the full menu isn’t available.

1st time visited this restaurant. Wanted to dine-in but needed to wait for an available table. However, we feel no communication regarding the wait. After 15 minute of waiting we were told 5minutes my wife and kid wanted to leave due to the lack of communication or status update from the girl at the door. Unfortunately she needed to spent more time in tweeter or instagramphone. After 20 of waiting. Danny really take care of us. Stellar service from him and the food was awesome. A totally different experience. It was like going back to the 50th, well decorated and the came out on time. Definaly planning on coming back thanks to the food and the grate service from Danny. I ordered chicken and ribs. The portions are small and the prices are VERY HIGH and not a lotta meat on either! I also asked for a taste of the Brunswick Stew and it was inedible! But here's my MAIN OBJECTION & WHY I WILL NEVER RETURN. In the main dining area there's a large screen tv that's apparently always on showing FOX news. The channel cannot be changed and the tv cannot be turned off per the waitress. Under normal circumstances I don't like any propaganda including right-wing conspiracy theories rammed down my throat but I especially don't like them when I'm eating dinner! My protest will be this review and never going back.
