What can I say they have the best produce around. That I drive from Mercer County when I want to get the freshest produce. Also the dessert is delicious and I leave trying a new item. I purchased the plant based fig orange zest salami and it's delicious. They have the best specialty items all under one store. It's a little bit pricey but it is so worth it. The big corporate food stores are just awful quality of meat and produce. At least I can say that Sickles is consistent. Also the staff is always so accommodating.
The perfect store for any start up meal or snack . Pasta , sauces, canned jams, and homemade pies are some of the wide variety of foods available at this small town Mom and Pop market . Fresh veggies such as locally grown tomatoes and watermelons also available. If you have gardening needs there are seeds and plants a plenty .
I was at a beautiful bridal shower for a family friend this past weekend and the floral arrangements from Sickles Market were absolutely stunning. I was gifted an arrangement to take home with me and have been so enjoying them! Highly recommend them as a florist. I so wish I didn't leave an hour away in PA - I would be using them all the time for my affairs.
This is hands down the best place to buy any kind of food in the area. The Butcher team is awesome...you can actually chat and ask questions about what you are buying they will even wrap items to go right to the freezer...great for when they have a good sale!. Same goes for their cheese team...so knowledgable! Veggies are always perfect, never a bruise or wilt. Prepared food is a little pricer than your average grocery...but its because it is FAR superior than any prepared food at your average grocery. I've used their catering services as well and they've been perfect every single time. Being a small family run place you get the kind of attention to detail and service you just don't anywhere else! I'll need an entirely new entry to talk about the garden center part...which is just as spectacular! *Lastly...they are also the absolute best place to get a fresh Christmas tree they last forever!
Enjoyed walking around the garden center. I had a question and the women in the garden center was so nice, professional and helped me with my plant quest... I am having problems finding cinnamon ferns.
I’ve been going to Sickles since it was an actual Farmers market. The store it is now is the epitome of the expression you get what you pay for. Great produce? Yep. Excellent meat dept? Indeed Citarella’s is still better, fight me. Prepared foods? Delicious. Prices? See the above expression. You can buy a $15 sandwich here, it’s a great sandwich mind, but still $15. If frugality of finished goods is a concern look elsewhere. The produce is still reasonably priced but gird your loins.
I often go to Sickles Market in preparation for a big dinner or something else that is above my typical average. I would not go here for everyday grocery shopping because though the food is good, it is expensive and the lines sometimes are very long. It is a bit small and when really crowded it is a nightmare. On a different note, their prepared foods are really good, above average I would say. If you are preparing a big meal or such, this is your place, if not, then their are more cost effective alternatives.
Great premade food, produce and grass fed beef. Gluten free options. Catering is wonderful. Beautiful plants.
When my husband and I began looking into florists for our wedding ceremony and reception at The Asbury, Sickles came highly recommended and they certainly did not disappoint. John Burns and his team at Sickles in Little Silver delivered the dreamiest flowers and design that went above and beyond anything we could have imagined for the big day. John is everything you’d want in a vendor – he’s friendly, communicative, meticulous, creative and supportive. In the sweetest gesture, he hand-delivered my bridal bouquet to the bridal suite the afternoon of the wedding. It was a small gesture that was very meaningful. My bridal bouquet absolutely blew me away. It was STUNNING. It had pale pink and white ruffled roses, pale pink and white peonies, white astrantia, white anemone, silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded eucalyptus, baby blue eucalyptus and Italian ruscus with stems. I could not have dreamed of a more elegant and gorgeous arrangement. Then, my bridesmaids’ and flower girls’ arrangements were condensed versions that were equally stunning. Our ceremony flowers consisted of pale pink roses, white roses, white hydrangea, pink and white snap dragons, pink and white lisianthus, silver dollar eucalyptus, Italian ruscus and Ivy flowing down. They were gorgeous and perfect for the setting on the hotel’s rooftop! My husband and I opted for more minimalistic guest tables, in which John adorned with various sizes of candles accompanied by pale pink roses, white roses, silver dollar eucalyptus and Italian ruscus laid beautifully around candles. Something we didn’t know until the end of the night is that the stems to the roses were clipped short and were placed in clear – I’m not quite sure of the right word – tubes that kept them encased in water so our guests could take them home with them! So even though we didn’t have traditional centerpieces that guests would customarily like to take home, this was something special. The work that John and the Sickles Little Silver team delivered was wonderful. We cannot recommend them enough for weddings – and any celebration, really. We are so thankful in the role they played in making our day so dreamy.
Everything looks wonderful. Garden area beautiful plants, but workers unknowledgeable other than 1 woman and young man rude.
