Sidney Public Library

This library is absolutely amazing, but the air conditioning is turning it into an Arctic wonderland! I mean, I love a good adventure, but I didn't sign up for polar exploration while reading my favorite books!

Great library that's clean and well stocked, we love taking our kids there they have a great selection. Also they have a really nice exercise circuit outside which is great for a quick workout. The lawns are clean and beautifully maintained as well.

I have to say this place is THE-BEST place in Sidney BC CANADA ! JUST NEWLY RENOVATED! for a small town like Sidney has something new like this ? How lucky ! When I lived in Richmond BC , Richmond library is my favorite place to go, I just could not resist any library and bookstore! They always remained me of my time spent with my mom! When she was a librarian in HEBEI providence in China , that was one place I loved to go every day after school! I would be the most quite one just sitting on the floor and reading one book out of 50000 books ! Till today I still love reading a book ! I think maybe I should find a volunteer opportunity to work in the library one day ! I LOVE YOU MOM!

The library space is very comfortable although there is a fairly small book collection. One major drawback is the staff chatting with each other which can be quite distracting if you're trying to concentrate.

Really disappointed with this library. Not a friendly staff.

Size wise not comparable with downtown libraries but it's adequate for Sudney residents. Besides borrowing books you can also use their computer within time limits to google searches or enjoy youtube headphones provided and when on computer I think it's 3 hours max. per person as it monitors your usage time before it automatically logs you out. To print documents or photocopy you have to pay for that. Get reference, books, magazines, novels find a good spot to sit, make yourself comfortable and start reading. It's a great way to kill time. The counter staff on duty are really helpful. Outside parking spaces are always avaliable anytime of the day. People constantly move in and out.

Enteted to find only 2 people inside. 1st time in since ban lifted. Didn't borrowed books. Read a couple of magazines. Sat on library computer to research some technical information & was allotted a maximum of 1 hour's time frame before being auto-exit.

Disinterested staff. The least friendly library I have ever visited in 60 years as a frequent library user

This little local library is a fantastic place to take your kids to grab reading material. They also have programs which are offered regularly on various topics. A great place.
