Wichita State social fraternity building True Gentleman since 1967
Founded in 1967, the Kansas Gamma chapter of Wichita State has seen over 500 undergraduate men go through it's chapter. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded in Alabama in 1856, by eight men wanting to build an organization based on friendship and high values. This fraternity was to be only for the utmost respected men of their area and of men with only the highest sense of scholastic achievement and of course, all members were to be socially respected.
Locally, Sigma Alpha Epsilon provides a support system for undergraduate men, with 50 young men all holding each other accountable. We compete in campus events, intramurals, and participate in many community events. We also host the WSU Shockerthon each year, most recently raising over $100,000 for Children's Miracle Network.
The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in “The True Gentleman.”
