Silver Lakes Middle School

It could be better with minor things but for the 2/3 years I've been here it's been a great SCHOOL not a plaground or a cafe or a hangout spot. Sure, I have seen a few fights but there is police officers on the campus so it's really nothing to worry about. It's no different from any other school honestly. So don't get angry if your kid comes home and is mad because the food isn't the best or if your kid has issues with other students. Tell them to suck it up because that's how life is. You don't get your way all the time. It's a school, a really good school at that. Sure, it's not THE BEST school in the world, but does it really need to be? Does your child really need to eat a gormet lunch to learn properly? I didn't think so. Anyways, the thing they could improve at this school is the classrooms' ceilings, the bathrooms, and the desks. That is all. Send your kids here. Or don't. I don't care. P.s. this is a school, like, the kind your child will learn in...

I love this Institution,the shared respect, extensive scholasic opportunities,the love and enthusiasm of the Faculty Members and Mrs Lopez. Great things are happening for all involved Children and Parents. I am happy to be a fortunate stakeholder . Lots of FREE tutoring .

I went to enroll child today . No one had a smile and Ms. Codington was very rude and disrepectful. Ms.Lopez refused to speak with me. This school should have a investigation. No one should be treated in such a manner. Talking to me in front of other kids and staff like a animal.

I'm just a black person trying to follow my dreams.... not here.... at silver lakes we have no fun activities and we are always on a silent lunch for basic and stupid reasons.... this school doesn't give your child an opportunity to express their feelings and show their potential.... if you are wise u will not send them here. Great school.This is my first year and so far I'm am loving it, 7th grade is a pleasure. I advice you to bring your child to this school theirs different varieties of activities to do.

DISCLAIMER - Employee at location. First off - "pitty" is spelled pity. Second, it is standard procedure in Broward County to have an officer on campus at all schools. They are called School Resource Officers or SROs. So if you go to any public school in Broward you will see a police car on campus. Silver Lakes is improving steadily - it's now a STEM Magnet programs school, enrollment is up and there has been an infusion of technology and resources. Student to adult ratio is one of the best in Broward. Can it be better? Sure. Rest assured that the administration and faculty are all committed to constant improvement through innovative programs, instructional methods and professional development.

this school is the worst i hate it and i got bullied if u want your child to suffer send them hear but listen please listen they will act all nice but the sudents are bad the teachers are bad dont send your child if u love them

This school is terrible.. It’s really ghetto.. there’s fights at least 3 times a week sometimes everyday and they get posted on insta and Snapchat.. it happens in the streets and in the school and around the outside of the school it’s insane.. people will threaten to jump you!!.. there is also A LOT of bullying.. and I mean A LOT I’ve experienced it on multiple occasions.. one good thing I will say about this school is that it really pushed me go get good grades.. the staff is okay.. half are nice half are rude.. the kids are insane.. but seriously.. don’t come here

I hate that school i hate my gym teacher mr magnison today he sat me out of pe because I was playing soccer with mr Henderson and i was trying to get it to go over the big brown fence in the field and it axsadentaly went on the roof by mistake
