Very pretty park, clean, well kept grounds. Quiet. A large cohort of Owners and a small area for rental patrons. Rental sights do not have any outdoor table for the sight. Wi Fi is not site wide, only available at the Club House. Close to the Lake Okeechobee Lost Trail, grocery stores and restaurants.
This is a absolutely wonderful place! They went out of their way to accommodate us during hurricane Ian, and made sure that the clubhouse was open and available for everyone to come to in case of a emergency or any needs. Welcomed us with open arms and a friendly smile! Thank you for making this Colorado girl feel safe during the hurricane
Giving you 5 stars despite the bar/grill room were closed. Which is understandable for the season though. Nancy, definitely deserves 5 stars!!! We saw some bad reviews from people with kids, and we were worried if they would not feel welcome. We called and talked to Nancy, who deserves a raise by the way, and she assured us kids were fine. We parent our kids, and have never had a problem taking them anywhere. I can only figure these reviews were by parents that assumed the resort was supposed to babysit theirs. I cannot say enough of how welcoming, and just how sweet Nancy was our entire stay. She was like family! The rest of the part time residents were also super nice as well. Thanks for letting us be a part of the Silver Palms family for their Labor day bbq. We will definitely be back!! Such a great weekend away from our busy lives. Very well taken care of, and a great looking resort. Ps.. Nancy, bring it up with the board about my lazy river idea out in "the fields". Haha Thanks again!!!!!
I rate this 5 star Resort with a one Star! I was a workcamper here last season. I worked alongside Stephanie & Chris Matlock who was one of 4 sets of workcampers who left due to poor management. The GM Ed is a Terrible GM!!!!! He will promise you the world & says he cares but he really doesn't. Make sure you get everything in writing!! He rides the perimeter of the 90 acre Resort trying to avoid you if he can. I was there for 5 months & worked very hard for Silver Palms but Ed acted like we didn't exist. We even picked up an extra day to help when all workcampers quit on the spot & my wife & I were the only workcampers left. I was a GM for 10 years & a business owner for 16 years so I have a little experience. Ed has no people skills & should not be a GM!!! I truly loved the Resort its beautiful & 95% of the owners are wonderful but the 5% that believe they are entitled ruin it for others!!!! I was actually going to come back this winter because I truly loved the Resort & maid many wonderful friends while we were there but Ed decided to put workcampers ahead of me that showed up after we had already been there. For any of you owners that new me I was the guy who wore the cowboy hat and collected your trash & did a lot of Landscape work amongst many others duties I handled. Ed actually called one of the longest working employees & hardest working employee in the Resort in the next day after she had been in the ER the night before for a heart condition! What kind of GM does that? A none caring one!!!!
Very pleased with the stay. Found dishonest people. One charge a bottle of wine to a friend's site. Another sold me passes to a banquet and never changed the pass list as they said she would. Site was clean and well landscaped. Pool and laundry areas well kept. Great location. Don't trust the clientele.
Beautiful place to stay. If you are a renter, you are treated differently. With the exception of a few owners, they treat you like, oh you are a renter. We don't want to be tied to one l9carion.
The Campsite is amazing its clean which I loved. Staff are super friendly. We had a great experience with Steve hes definitely the guy who made our family experience worth wild. Having all the amenities you could ask for. It's definitely a REPEAT like our family always says when we're heading home. Thanks again.
We stayed at this resort on our way to Key West. Great amenities and manicured landscaping. Dog park was nice for our pups. You can purchase a site here if you like the area for the winter. We had it to ourselves mostly because the snowbirds had not arrived yet. Nice place
We have stayed at a lot of RV parks, and if we could give Silver Palms RV Resort a 10 we would. It is beautiful and has a really nice dog park for your fur babies. The management is friendly and are there to assist you. The people who stay there are also really friendly. They have really nice pickleball courts, shuffleboard courts, and a beautiful landscaped pool and spa. The way it is landscaped, it is like paradise on Earth. We will most definitely be back to stay.
Not a great resort for renters or work campers. If you are not an owner, you are an outcast. We took a work camping job there and we left within less than two months and so did 5 other work campers. They can't seem to keep work campers. Full-time employees do not like work campers. Management is horrible. Too much drama. Renters are not felt welcomed either. If you have kids, forget about this resort as it is not kid-friendly. None of the rental sites come with amenities such as picnic tables. They give you a 7-page rule book when you get there. They call themselves a 5-star resort in Okeechobee which is in the middle of nowhere. We recommended several friends to come before we knew about this resort. The one family left today after being there for an hour and not getting the site promised.
