To be upfront It rained our whole trip... although it is family friendly and the full timers are very considerate, managed well. I would have liked better drainage / gravel at the nightly sites. Overall a good experience. We left early due to drainage / camp is a mud pit or we would have stayed out full stay. Decent stay overall... Playground: Kids seemed to enjoy, playground and pool area Restrooms: Pretty clean Dog-friendliness: All dogs encountered were well behaved and entertaining
Amazing owners , grounds very well taken care of, close to the Ocean, Old Orchard Beach, on site laundry, 2 pools, one being an adult pool with a hot tub, a playground, new black top basketball full Court, pickle ball, horse shoes , the list goes on and on!
Decent place even though the rain cut our trip short due to mud in our site
Awesome campground friendly staff and cool spot all around
Has potential to be fabulous. Just needs some attention to landscaping and keeping campers clean
We only stayed 2 nights, but it was quite pleasant. The owners are very accommodating and the bathroom facilities are good that’s how I start my ratings at campgrounds!. We would’ve stayed an additional night if not for having to give up the spot to a reserve. No problem, we were a “walk in”. They don’t have a lot of sites open, as they are mostly seasonal. That’s part of what is so nice - its more of a neighborhood than a campground.
Beautiful large campsite. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.
This place SUCKS! The people here were so mean to us, they said they cleaned out our cabin but there was a bug in the shower. The adult pool was bug infested. The playground is from the 60's. The cabins are extreamly small and and every cabin is different but you pay the same price for all of them. They changed our cabin from 1 to 2 without even giving us warning. And the worst part is that my granddaughter and her friend got LICE from there "cleaned" futon. Which was 20 times smaller then the bed i stayed in the last time we went. and like i said, same price for all. NEVER GO THERE.
We went here to visit old friends visiting from VA. I honestly never knew this place existed even though I have probably passed it many, many times. Despite being so close to the road, you can barely hear the calls travelling along Rt 1. One night, police cars went zooming by and all we saw were their lights flashing, the sirens sounded distant. Our friends were near the entry so their kids were able to play on the playground right outside their camper. There was also a huge grassy area for the kids to play games, as well as a fenced in pool. My friends also pointed out the dirt roads that lead to more camp sites farther into the wooded areas behind them. Silver Springs is a great place to be out of the way, but close to so many things. Funtown is right down the road, Martel's ice cream, miniature golf, Old Orchard Beach etc.
$67 / night but we averaged $35 over 4 nights using Passport America. W/E50/S/C/I Level, wooded site with OK spacing between sites. Only downside is that internet access was poor. On Rt. 1 allows easy access to coastline of southern Maine using I-95. Would definitely stay here again!!!
