I loved it. I played three card poker for two days. I bet on football games and won. It was a good weekend. The rooms were good and the buffet was good. Would do it again. I just wish they had more than one kiosk for sports betting. People were friendly.Rooms: 5/5
This was my first visit here. I'm handicapped and was disappointed that there was no parking by the actual gambling hall. The walk was extremely too far and not convenient at all for someone on crutches or anyone else with disabilities. I even enjoyed losing my money at the slots. The best part was the concert, which was great, Christmas Eve was my birthday, and the band sang Happy Birthday to me and the other ladies who also had birthdays. The drinks were a little costly in the bar when they were free in the slots areas. I would have stayed the night, but the room rates were crazy high. Walkability: Parking and actual gambling area, way too far from each, especially for handicapped individuals. There should be parking in the back by the slots also. I probably won't be back due to the long walk just to get to the slots.
Busy as usual. Live band that was great. Room rate high for anyone who is on fixed income even if holiday weekend when they advertise such low beginning rates. Rooms are very good but not that good.Rooms: 5/5
You won't hardly win anything, but the buffet makes it worth going. Philip M Steakhouse is another great dining option. Very nice facilities, including the Golden Moon across the street but chances of winning aren't that great.
Silver Star is Alway Heavy Smoking and the interior reflects that, now the Golden Moon is the same way. There is No Areas For Non-Smokers to go play and breath comfortably and enjoy their time. Everything you bring to the casino will smell like heavy smoke. Not everyone wants CANCER.
Went to a major party and paid 3 dollars for 8 Oz of water. Rooms was nice ND clean, view sucked, and housekeeping was beating on the door an hr before check outRooms: 3/5
While in MS recently, my wife, 2 more family members, and myself went to the casino at Silver Star. As far as the casino gambling aspect goes, every was extremely good. Overall, the facility was clean, and employees were helpful and courteous. We went there 3 days, within a week. We didn't stay at the hotel, but at the home of family we were visiting. We'll go back, next time we're in the area.
I have always loved the silver star and golden moon casinos, I had not went in several years. I recently went and found out both casinos are no smoking. I think one should allow smoking, you are in a casino, not a church, will go to another casino from this day forward and they will no longer get my money. I am not trying to offend non smokers, but of all places…… a casino should allow smoking.
The rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. The air conditioning in our room was a little bipolar. It was either freezing cold or a sauna! The service on the casino floor needs improving. In the 4 hours I was on the floor I got one drink.Rooms: 5/5
The live music was great..careful ordering drinks at the bar one bartender charged me $13 over for the exact same drinks I had ordered an hour previouslyService: 2/5
