I golfed there about 5 weeks ago. I had a bad knee so my girlfriend dropped me off close to the pro shop. I saw this guy, slick, in his mind, buzz by with a golf cart hit I assumed it was his cart to do his thing working there. I started heading toward the Pro Shop and he shouts, “ that cart is good enough for you”? Wow, I couldn’t believe my ears. First impression, poor because it was my first time playing there with a buddy and what he did/said was completely unnecessary and just plain rude. The funny thing is once we got out on the course it really liked it. The Pro Shop people were polite and courteous and the girl in the grill area also nice. I’m only telling you this because I own 2 businesses and I would never show blatant arrogance like that. So, 3 stars but aside from “him” I would of given a 5 star review. Keep an eye on your staff. We’ll be back though…
Driving range will double charge you for credit card transactions. Been happening for nearly a year. Complain to the pro shop and they act surprised and won’t fix the issue. Average city owned course, moderately challenging with good green fee specials.
First time golfing at Silverbell. I did expect more from a public course. This course was in terrible shape. I think that it needs a little TLC, and it could be a pretty good public course. I believe it has its challenges due to the land that it sits on.
Nice golf course with decent variety of landscape challenges.
Silverbell Golf Course has never let me down in all the times I have been there. Now, let me first start off by saying that I am an amateur golfer for what it's worth. I don't ever talk like I'm a PGA Card carrying member, and I might lose a ball here and there when there is water, or if I'm playing at Star Pass. Out there for fun and relaxation. Silverbell provides the wide open spaces I need if I vear a little right or left. It's a city maintained course and they do an exceptional job keeping the greens nice. There is some yellow winter grass on the fairways, but you can't water in the winter in the desert. It's all about "Water Conservation" in Tucson. Lastly, during this time of the year when you are out on the course you will come to know why Tucson is the place to be during winter. Also, a shout out to the cart people, Saw them 4 times on day where there were about 150 golfers out! Recommend : Please like the review after viewing! :
Booked a reservation through their website then after driving 45 minutes from the East side I arrived to be told sorry, our internet is down so we won't honor your reservation. The Silverbell GM couldn't be bothered to make this right.
Today I have to remind you that the golf ball vending machine will repeat charge you in Silverbell Golf Course. On April 8, 2023, I want to buy a large basket of balls with a credit card. After swiping the card for the first time, the light came on but no ball came out. I had to swipe again and this time the ball came out. But on April 10th I found out that I was charged twice. At 12:48 pm that day, I called to report them. A lady answered the phone, but she hung up while I was speaking. I called five times in a row and she never answered the phone. I really admire her as a service person who can treat customers with this attitude.
The greens are always in horrible shape and can not put on most of them weeds. Just cover them. The grounds keepers don't even try huge rocks in the bunkers and no ranger to keep pace of play in reason. I like their practice area. If they took as much effort in the rest of the course, it would be better .
Very nice public course for a very reasonable price using "tucson daily deals" 18 holes with cart for $25
Really fun city course. Greens were firm and true. Long test from the tips
