LOVED this place. I had been meaning to get here for a long time but, pandemic... it was DEFINITELY worth the wait. The food and drinks were delicious. Everything was fresh and of great quality. I try to stay away from gluten for the most part and had absolutely NO problems here. They also had multiple fish and veggie options. -The owner and staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating -The restaurant was CLEAN and the decor was nice -The music was SO good! Everything about this place was A+. Definitely going to make it one of my new favorites.
Very nice place and nice vibe. Good food and atmosphere. Love the African touch to it. We ordered kebabs and got shrimps instead, waiter quickly brought us kebab before we could say 'bonjour'. Very good customer service and excellent home made 'zobo' drink
Choose your 'cue, at New Soul Food! Voted Best Food Truck in 2017, the restaurant still offers your choice of four different flavors of marinated chicken--"Afro-pean" with Mediterranean herbs, "Afro-caribbean" with curry, "Afro-subsaharan" with Penja pepper, or "Afro-poke" smoked and pulled. My Afro-subsaharan, which comes with basmati rice, plantains and a spicy Cameroon peanut sauce, was juicy and delicious. Don't be afraid to ask for more sauce; the staff will oblige! And be sure to try one of their housemade "elixirs"--the Afropean red hibiscus, raspberry and rose was delicious!

Stopped in here around 1 PM noon. The place was jam packed with tons of take out. This was a very good sign for me to try Indian food for the very first time. Thank God I stopped at this location on my way to Chicago. Such a great quality food and authentic taste. Will definitely be stopping on the way for my every visit to Chicago.
Was one of the first clients of this place when it opened in 2019 Ordered again recently and good to see that the quality and taste is consistent. Also they have great gluten free dishes. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
Authentic African cuisine, tastey, original, small area that could get only 5 tables but the taste is irresistible.
Excellent Restaurant. I visited twice. Both occasions we were well looked after.
Too good. You can taste the coal and all dishes are crazy flavorful
The food was excellent, the rice & homemade drink was superb
