Acrylic paintings from realistic to
abstract, with an added style I call, perfectly imperfect. Texture and color combination are my focus.
I sat down my paintbrush upon graduation from college and started my career as a graphic designer. I have worked in the field for over 35 years and continue to work as an Art Director. My beautiful daughters are grown and I found myself with an empty bedroom that could easily be turned into an art studio. So, I picked up a paint brush again to see where it would take me.
Acrylic paint is my medium of choice but I have chosen to add various forms of texture to take my artwork to a new dimension. I feel like I have been on an amazing journey as I explore the use of corrugated cardboard, aluminum foil, drywall mud, Tyvek, clay, various mediums, hand-painted papers and anything else I can think of to incorporate into my artwork. My journey has led me from realistic to abstract, with a style I call, perfectly imperfect, somewhere in the middle. I have no boundaries and no rules to depict my style. I feel as though I am bursting at the seams with all of the possibilities twirling around in my head. My journey is just getting started . . .
