The staff were nice and helpful, the sites were decently sized and signed, electrical hookup was a breeze, and it was easy to reach from I-29. There was a little highway noise, but it wasn't excessively loud. The amenities looked nice but we didn't have much time to check them out. I do have a few minor complaints regarding the restrooms. On the plus side, they were quite clean and the plumbing fixtures relatively modern. However, thee showers were so slow to drain I turned off the water while lathering up so the drain could catch up before I rinsed off. The metal stall partitions are rusty in places. Also, the paper towels had run out by evening and weren't refilled until midmorning. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if passing through the Sioux City area.
My wife and I stayed one night at this campground. We LOVED the Deluxe Cabin. The owners attention to detail is excellent! The cabin was super clean, smelled wonderful, and had little touches that you’d expect to find at a high price hotel! Our only complaint is that we didn’t stay for a few days and enjoy the other great amenities that this classy campground has! Folks, if you’re ever in this area, give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
Folks. I do a koa every other day or so as I travel much. This location was the absolute best I’ve ever encountered. I arrived late but instead of looking for the after hours box. They had several people once I pulled in to guide me to my spot and after I was in my spot, Within 5 minutes they brought me my paper work. Ultra clean quiet professional. The best I’ve ever experienced. WiFi is better than my business. A real gem. 7 stars. Thanks guys. I’ll be back. Charles Madison
This place is located very close to the highway. If you are a tent camper like us, then sleeping may be difficult if you are a light sleeper, and watching shows on a laptop will be nearly impossible to hear without headphones or external speakers. Our site was great and the facility is really good tho, so if you are in an RV the sound shouldn't be nearly as bothersome if you stay inside. But the highway is really loud, so beware.
My husband and I stayed 1 night here and that was enough. The girls bathroom looked like a school bathroom from the 90s. That ugly grayish blue stalls with rust all over them. I felt like I needed a tetnis shot everytime i left that bathroom. The toilets were bad beware you have to hold down the flush handle and do it twice to even get the toilet paper down there is no sign for this. The stools in the showers look like they haven't been clean in a long time. Shower curtains look like they need to be replaced. The drain in both the men's and women shower are slow. The guest rule is horrible. Who makes a guest of people there pay to come visit? This is the only KOA that we know of that does that. I am very grateful none of my friends or family live here. The breakfast on the weekends is mediocre at best. Go somewhere else for breakfast. Their food is bland.
Great place, fantastic staff, so glad we stayed here. Take some time to check out the office area, fun things to see, and buy. Including Hunts pizza, fresh out of the oven. If your in the area, need a place to stay the night, this is it.
I will start with the good things... Staff very friendly, helpful and met us right at the gate and took us to our site even before we checked in. Site was an easy pull through that was level and clean. Restrooms and Laundry were also clean which was nice. I am sure the city has grown up around this KOA which is too bad. There are homes or businesses on all sides with a freeway just across the access road. If this KOA were in a different location or had some buffer property it would earn more stars.
Great campground. Wish we could have stayed for an extra day. Clean nice campground that is kept up. We were just passing through and stopped for the night.Service: 5/5
One of the nicer KOA’s with Hunt Bros Pizza delivery to your site piping hot. Pool was minimal but refreshing. Utilities were good and site was fairly level.
Wonderful campground...bathrooms were super clean & the staff were over the top nice. They also make & deliver pizza right to your site...awesome feature!
