Local history and children's educational programming.
The Skokie Heritage Museum houses locally-significant historical photos, documents, and artifacts. The museum also features the oldest extant structure in Skokie, the Meyer family cabin, built in 1847. All of these are viewable by appointment.
The museum offers educational programs and birthday parties for children that examine world history and cultures through crafts, story telling, and other activities, with a particular focus on local Skokie history. See the Park District website for current programs.
