Horrible. We paid extra for the fast pass which was totally not worth the 5 extra dollars. First you have to wait up line just to be separated into the fast pass line. Than the general admission line moves way faster. When we asked, an employee claimed it was due to more people buying fast pass than general admission. All total we were in line 2 & 1/2 Hrs. The train ride is not laser tag and is only about 4 minutes long. The actually haunted house was pathetic. Only about a ten minute experience. My children's school put on a better haunted house. Don't waste your time!!!!
Took my 3 kids to the Laughter House because the reviews were decent. Pretty sure all the positive reviews posted are by people who run this event. We paid $10 a person to stand in line for 30 min got on a 5 minute very small train ride with a few characters dressed along the way. Barely decorated and got barely any candy. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Very bootleg.
My son and his friend we're so excited to do 'a real haunted house' after we visited the volunteer one in Douglas county that supports search and rescue. 'Slaughterhouse' was the most disappointing experience I've paid for in a long time. If children produced this to raise money for their elementary school, it would have made sense, but this is a business, an exceptionally lazy and cheap one. The train was not laser tag, it was metal battery guns that shine lights and accomplish nothing as 2 underwhelming guys in cheap costumes half way attempt to surprise you. One guy with a chainsaw was enthusiastic, thanks guy, for doing this he best you could with what you had. The 'Slaughterhouse' started great, the guy that pulled us in was fun and enthusiastic, the rest of the staff seemed burdened and embarrassed by trying to scare us. Lots of stage props, sure, but lack of creativity, and staging a fun scary experience. I blame this on cheap management, hiring cheap labor and just saying 'ah well, we'll make money, who cares about it actually being fun'. I rarely take the time to make a bad review, this broke the mold though. I feel it's important to warn others not to waste their money.
We were excited for the slaughter house and terror train experience, we got the ultimate experience for me, my husband and daughter, $30 per ticket slaughter house + terror train+speed past. NOT WORTH IT! For the slaughter house we waited in line for an hour. The haunted house itself was the worst I’ve ever seen. The actors barely tried to scare you and when some of them did, it was like my toddler popping out at me, no effort in the acting or costumes. Example! The maze was a pitch black room you walked through while a man dressed in all black wearing a wolf mask walked around, literaly nothing happen. The terror train ride was even worse! That line was another hour and the train you ride on was the same train you see kids riding on in a mall and it was a 6 minute ride through nothing. Some people yelled and screamed and some just walked around doing nothing with again barely any Halloween makeup on. This is not worth the money.
The Slaughterhouse was absolutely amazing. It was my first time going and I definitely wasn't disappointed. The people who worked there did an amazing job, and it was longer than I expected which I really did like. I screamed and laughed multiple times. As long as you get there early and are able to go in almost as soon as it opens, you should have an amazing time.
The train ride was epic. We took it at the very end of the night and my wife was in tears before we were half way through. I felt awful but at the same time you know.. The haunted house was bigger and longer than I thought. We got lost immediately which was fun and scary and the car towards the end was very cool and caught us off guard! Fun times!! 5 stars.
Was disappointed by the lack of props and effort by the staff. No enthusiasm, and no advanced props or costumes. The train ride was just silly. I seen much better haunted house presentations from the smallest of towns in the midwest. The only thing that made me feel OK spending the money I did was learning that a portion of it went to Charity. Take your $60 bucks on your date and instead grab dinner and see a scary movie.
Wasn't worth the time or the money you have to spend. Everyone was nice enough, especially the ticket guy, he was awesome. I jumped like once through the whole thing. The terror train was a joke, you can see the actors coming up so it took a lot of the scare factor away. was the same in the haunted house part. They didnt even make a point to try to hide and when they did try to scare you, it was already expected. I took my 13 year old niece and 12 year old daughter. They laughed almost through the whole thing. We did have a good time, because a lot of the experience was comical, but we really really wanted to have the heart racing adrenaline running kind of scared.
This was by far the best haunted house we have ever been to. We didn't expect Reno to have something this cool. The train was a great addition and fun idea too! Highly recommended and we will be back next year!
All I can say is what a dud and here is why: 1. Ticket prices are way over priced for the lack luster presentation! For me and one other person, it was over $60. 2. Stood in line for over 2.5 hours for what maybe amounted to 5-8 minutes, at most, of the actual haunted house experience. 3. Too many people allowed to go in at once which diluted the experience as the performers would scare the front of group and those at the back already knew what was coming. So basically, walking through this was a waste for many people, us included. 4. Too many dang lines! After standing in one line for over 2.5 hours just to get to the entrance... Once through the entrance where pictures are taken you are immediately presented with another line at an elevator. Which then promptly drops you into the waiting arms of yet another long line to the actual haunting area. 5. Something in there poked the heck out of me on the hand and broke skin – either it was an exposed screw or a hypodermic needle. Since we were a part of a large group of people we didn't know, pushing their way through and it was dark – I couldn't stop to truly investigate what it really was unfortunately. So if I get some hepatitis, AIDS or some other disease – I will be able to account it to attending this disaster. I am pretty sure I am not the only individual that got stuck by whatever it was - So ya there's that as well. 6. Then there is the “Terror Train” - Holy cow I do not have the words for this. Was it worth it – nope! Some positives I can confirm. Parking was easy, good music from a live DJ and the cocktail waitress. Will we be back next year... again, Nope!
