A short 4-day trip just to get away and visit family near Beaufort, SC. We needed a pet friendly hotel for our nearly 16-year-old miniature dachshund. The price was fair for the accommodations. Note: pet fee is $20 per pet per night limit 2 pets as of the date of this review. It's also important to note that this hotel is very close to I-95. If you think freeway noise will be an issue for you, definitely all for a room on the front of the hotel. I thought we may have to switch hotels, but a room switch from the back side to the front eliminated the noise. If you don't have a pet, you may want to avoid this hotel because it is possible you will hear the occasional barking dog. Having said that, I've only heard two in the two days we've been here so far and both were quiet in just a moment. This is not the nicest hotel, but for our needs on this trip it has served us very well. Photos of the rainbow were taken from the hotel parking lot looking east. Noteworthy details: Pet friendly.
-No sleep at Sleep Inn- All of the staff that I came in contact with was very nice and professional, with the exception of housekeeping. First desk receptionists on Friday evening - Sunday morning were great. The first room I had was room 319. The door was very heavy and kept getting stuck, resulting in the door slamming each time I used the door. The room was not cleaned well, with grease spots on all the wood surfaces. Bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel springs. The room was literally next to the I-95 and I got no sleep because of the very loud noises from the trucks and cars. I asked to be moved the next day, and was moved to room 312 on the opposite side. The room condition was much better. The bed was comfortable. The noise level from the interstate was 90% better, however the ac unit was very loud and kept making jarring noises. THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN at this property. At 6 am the sounds of doors being slammed started. This continued until I checked out at 11. Upon my observations, there was the occasional door slams of guest, and then the housekeepers slam the doors against the door prop as they are going in and out of rooms cleaning. Very loud and often. Absolutely no thought or care of the disruptive noise being made by staff. Slam, slam, slam all morning! Breakfast was very mediocre, but sufficient. I will definitely NEVER return to this location.
Don't stay here!!!!! . They will charge you again after you check out and won't tell you.... Unauthorized charges will accure. Upon check in my family was in the lobby and the check in lady told me beautiful family. Then gave us our room. After check out...and we are a hour up 95 north they charge 20 dollars because they saw more children then the reservation???..when other children were my niece and nephew from another room..... They are seriously messed up people.... go to the next exit and get a room there....Don't Stop Here!!!!!
Spent one night here while passing through. It's a basic hotel room with a unique shower that I've never seen in any other hotel. Stayed in room 321, which had a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Shower and toilet are in a private room with the sink outside of the bathroom, which is convenient. The included breakfast had a decent selection. Cereal choices were Cheerios and fruit loops, they had bread to make toast no bagels, muffins, waffle maker, egg patties, sausages, oatmeal, and miscellaneous snacks. Dining area is small but adequate. We slept very well too!
Emergency stop during storm conditions. It was just off highway, easy to spot and very good staff for 1 am. Food snacks off lobby very clean room on 3rd floor, Quiet...Great walk in shower and better than average waffle cereal, fix your own breakfast included with room. We took yogurts and fruit, coffee etc with us and were on the road again after very restful night
